Plasma Babe
1140 Westwood Blvd Suite 207, Los Angeles, CA 90024, United States
Such a wonderful experience with Malia (Plasma Babe) she is truly skilled in the art of plasma lift and very knowledgeable in many aspects of health/beauty. After hearing about her services a couple years ago and seeing her work, I knew that plasma lift was the right option for me. I prefer a more holistic approach to health & beauty, and I was really excited when I learned about plasma lift. After a partial thyroid removal, significant weight loss, and old acne scarring, my neck was an embarrassing area for me. I scheduled a full neck plasma lift with Malia. During our consult, Malia was realistic about the expectations, and did not try to oversell things or what the result may be. Her studio is a lovely, clean, and peaceful environment. She is very thorough throughout the plasma lift process and makes sure to check on your comfort level. She provides detailed aftercare instructions, all of the aftercare creams/serums needed, and is available to contact with any follow-up questions. The healing process was much easier than I expected and I am now 9 weeks healed. I am happy with the results of my plasma neck lift/scar treatment and it has definitely improved my confidence. I look forward to having Malia treat other areas in the future.

Rave Beauty Bar

I feel like the only way this place has good reviews is because they ask you to do it right at check out and even hand you a card to scan to take you right to google - maybe thinking if you are doing it right there in front of them you will feel pressured for a good review. I don't necessarily like posting negative reviews but felt I should share. I will just stick to the facts - I didn't have crazy expectations and I'm not really hard to please - but the haircut I went in for was embarrassing. I didn't go in for anything cray - a haircut on longish straight hair with some basic face framing layers in the front. The end result had the bottom back with blunt, choppy and uneven all around. The layers were choppy, uneven, not blended - you know those videos of young girls cutting their own bangs???? Well that was my whole cut all around. To top it off it felt like straw from whatever products they use which don't seem like professional products. They also charged me 85 for the cut which is the same or even more than I have paid in high end nice salons. To add to this - the stylists station looked dirty - ick! I am now going to immediately have to find a place and spend yet another 80–100 to have my hair fixed because it was so bad I can't let it go like this it's so uneven. Lesson learned on my part I guess! Also - not to sound snobby or anything but normally when I go to a salon the girls are friendly - no one looked in my direction except my stylist - they don't offer coffee or water - didn't ask me if the temp of water for the wash was okay - didn't really just seem to have any overall professionalism that you can get at a salon. I'm the end of the cut was even slightly okay I wouldn't bother to leave this - but honestly I'm going g to have to get it corrected asap! And again - it's not like they are inexpensive. They are charging high end prices for an experience that is anything but.

My Little Beautique
12112 Washington Blvd #1, Los Angeles, CA 90066, United States
I came to this place to remove my eyelash extensions as eyelash extension master is located in Calabasas. I was extremely nervous even to remove my lashes at this place and I was very right about feeling nervous lol, here is why:- It took probably 25-30 minutes to remove the lashes which usually should not take more than 10 minutes per my experience- Not only it took forever but also removal solution immediately started burning my eye and, believe me, I keep my eyes closed so no solution would get in the eye directly - so I can only blame the professional who performed the poor job- Not only removal solution didnt work properly but master had to manually remove few of the lashes and she pulled some of them really hard and you know it doesnt feel good when somebody pulls your lashes and it never happened with me beforeIve seen their lash extensions pictures( I havent done extensions at this place nor I would ever try to get my lashes here) - I have no idea who would even consider to paying for such a poor quality - sorry ladies but there are so much better mastersUpdate response:- you are straight up lying when you are saying I had irritation from my lashes I had on - I told your specialist that my eyes are sensitive and please be careful. I was removing them as I was getting perm makeup next day not cause my eyes were irritated- you are asking why I came to your boutique if I didn't like pictures- have I ever wrote that I came to get extensions? No, I thought removal can't go wrong as it was always quick and easy at other places I've been but obviously I was wrong- FYI, my lashes were at least three weeks old so it wouldn't be considered fresh set as you stating- I do understand that you are using chemicals etc but the issue is you are using outdated techniques and removal solutions

Phenix Salon Suites of Westwood

Absolutely rude! No one at the front to answer questions. Its a bunch of independent offices of people who do hair or nails but operate without a uniform scheduling service. Just wanted to know if someone in there did nails...one woman was nice enough to show me her office. Never have I ever been treated so rudely for merely inquiring about making an appointment with someone. Dont waste your time there are plenty of nice spas and salons in this area.

App Makers LA
1250 S Los Angeles St, Los Angeles, CA 90015, United States
These guys are amazing!Thank you so much Michael and Yasha for making my company such an appealing and professional website. They both made this experience stress free and the outcome was worth the wait. Ive tried working with other designers that just disappeared on us midway. It was very easy coming to the conclusion that appmakersla has the best final designs. I was sold on their quality of work and customer service. Everyone I spoke with there were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain the reasons behind each choice and we came to a decision together. All the trust Ive given them was well worth it.Their team is very familiar with the mobile application development process and they thoroughly helped me with my marketing. They didnt treat us like a small business; rather I felt as if they truly cared about my success. They provided us a full audit of our website and knew exactly how to improve our ranking on Google, Yahoo, and Bing. After hiring this company for only a short while, our keywords are ranking on the first page of Google. They optimized my site and got me the views I needed to take my business to the next level. My SEO has been consistently better than my competitors and I owe it all to them I rapidly gained traffic as they patiently kept me in the loop. They were always honest on how they do their job and would not hesitate to let me know if anything could hurt my business.Plus their price was much more fair than all the other individuals urging to help me make an application. I am very glad that I came to them instead of giving up on my dream because of my tight budget. Im also very glad to say that I have received a lot of compliments on my website. Finally, I love how their always available to help me, with general questions and edits.I really hope my review helps as I was lucky enough to find them thanks to YELP !I will definitely be coming back for any future ventures and appreciably recommend their services.

Blitz Nation
1851 S Westmoreland Ave STE300, Los Angeles, CA 90006, United States
This review will reflect the live musician services of Blitz Nation we experienced via booking Second Song.We were beyond excited for the live music as guest entertainment was one of our top priorities for our wedding. Theres no feeling like the one live music provides. In fact, this was the deciding factor for why we went with Second Song over the dozens of highly rated DJ vendors in the LA/OC/IE area. The String Duo that showed up for our ceremony was great; arrived early, was very professional and played the selected songs wonderfully. Unfortunately, we could not say the same for Jay, the Saxophone player, whom we booked for 2 hours as the surprise performance and finale of our wedding. On the day of the wedding, the Saxophone player was a no show. We got zero notice and he could not be reached by our planner. The ultimate nightmare right? We were told that Jay had a once in a lifetime opportunity to record with a prominent artist which went overtime and he selfishly notified Blitz Nation and Second Song at the last second.Blitz Nation apologized for this and sent us a small $150 Ticketmaster gift card to make new memories and put this behind us only after we told them how disappointed we were.Unfortunately, you will only ever have one wedding, there is never a second chance... Tens of thousands of dollars spent for this one day, just for your planned wedding night finale to go MIA. You will never have all of your family, friends, and loved ones (who flew in from out of the country, traveled thousands of miles, booked hotels) together at the same place and time to share this experience. This may be one isolated event, but this happened to us. If you ask me, for a wedding, one is one too many. When we think about this, we are still sad and disappointed.UPDATE: We did end up getting a response with a thorough explanation and they did seem to want to genuinely make things right so this rating has been updated to reflect that.

Loren Stiteler Acupuncture & Herbs
414 N Larchmont Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90004, United States
I have been Lorens patient for the last few years and I truly dont think Ill ever see anyone else. Before seeing him, I probably saw about four different acupuncturists - all who practiced very similarly: they would briefly discuss your concern, have you lay on the table, very superficially insert needles into you and leave the room for you to fall asleep for 45 minutes or so. I always felt conflicted about returning to these acupuncturists because I rarely felt substantial or sustained results, but would continue because it did provide some temporary relief. I quietly accepted that was all acupuncture would be - a few needles, calming music, and some time to relax. But then, I met Loren. He completely changed the way I view acupuncture, has resolved so many of my health concerns, and provides a level care that I know I can rely on and will produce significant and sustained results. Ive seen him for so many things: female-related hormone imbalance, concussions, muscular overuse injuries, etc., and there isnt one ailment that he hasnt been able to help. I am a surfing, soccer playing, PhD student with a full-time job, so I am constantly putting my mind and body through it, but I feel completely confident in pursuing these things because I know I have Loren to call when something goes wrong! Some highlights about Loren that set him apart: hell spend the whole appointment with you - yes, the whole appointment; hell review your medical history and current complaint in great detail; hell educate you on what hes doing, why hes doing it, and how it works; he doesnt just use needles, he uses other techniques such as massage, gua sha, etc., depending on what is most effective for your issue - all of which Ive had great success with; hes wicked smart and will not only treat you, but hell educate you on other ways to heal (diet, herbs, etc.); and lastly, hes one of the most engaged practitioners Ive had the pleasure of working with - he practices in a way that makes you feel heard, cared for, and that you have someone in your corner who will do everything in their power to help you heal. Ive recommended him to family and friends who have had similar experiences and results, and would highly recommend him to anyone whos looking for an acupuncturist who doesnt only provide a nice experience, but one that gets you what truly matter - results! Im so grateful for Loren and his work - I truly dont know where my body would be without him.

LA Tires
4th/Lorena, Los Angeles, CA 90063, United States
This place is fair. Their prices are very competitive and they are fast. I have bought a replacement tire from here before many times ($45), had tires patched ($10), and consulted with them, for other vehicles I previously owned, when I was shopping for wheels. Not pushy, generous within their time in talking with me about my questions.I recently Misunderstood the costs of balance and mounting a complete set, nevertheless, they offered to do all 4 tires for the price of 3 and I was In and out in 20 minutes. They open until 6pm.

Dr. Nathanael Heckmann, MD
1520 San Pablo St #2000, Los Angeles, CA 90033, United States
Hip and knee replacement surgery is a serious matter. Dr. Heckmann is one of the best in his field and I am grateful to have found him. I was in bad shape, but now I am feeling confident that I will resume my active lifestyle within a few more weeks, without any setbacks.Dr. Heckmanns surgical approach outperformed even my extremely high expectations. I am fairly young and very active. A sedentary lifestyle is not for me. I needed to be sure I had a proven surgeon to get me back up and moving.I contracted an infection that traveled from my cervical spine to my hip and other extremities. This posed atypical complications, but Dr. Heckmann was more than prepared for the challenge. He and his assistant, Lisa Fujimoto, are a synchronized team. They both listened carefully to my concerns and worked together almost intuitively to put together a strategy to get me back up and on my feet, pronto. It was a six-hour surgery due to the extent of the infection, however, Dr. Heckmann cleared the infection from my entire femur. He placed a temporary spacer infused with antibiotics in place of my hip.2 hours after I woke up from surgery, Dr. Heckmann had me up and walking. He and Lisa visited me daily to check my progress and answer any questions.Dr. Heckmanns nurse, Lynn Zawacki, acted as my front line. She, too, visited me daily and answered all of my aftercare questions. She remained my point of contact after hospital discharge and averted a number of possible crises when I offhandedly mentioned anything out of the ordinary.Although I was a more complicated case, I was off to the races by the time I was discharged because Dr. Heckmanns work was meticulous and his team gave me the tools I needed to make a successful recovery. My recovery time was fast and clean.Speaking of clean, my incision was extremely fine and faded considerably in just three months.Dr. Heckmann and his team stayed in close contact with me. They were easily accessible, though I am not sure how they can respond so quickly, given the number of other patients. They make me feel like I am their only patient.Just a week before I was to have the spacer removed and replaced with the permanent hip, I mentioned to Lynne that I had some pain in my hand. She immediately conveyed the information to Dr. Heckmann. Within hours, he referred me to one of the best hand surgeons in the field to investigate what he suspected to be an infection in my hand.Dr. Heckmann was correct, and within two days of my MRI, I was rushed in for surgery not for a hip replacement, but to remove the infection from my hand. I would have had for more severe problems had my casual observation gone unnoticed, and given my laissez-faire attitude about it, I am surprised Lynne and Dr. Heckmann caught the critical nature of my hand pain.I am now 2 weeks out from my hip replacement surgery, as I write this. I am pleased to report that within three days after my discharge from the hospital, I no longer needed to take pain meds. I simply have no pain. I am walking (on crutches) a mile a day, as of this writing (split into two separate .5 mile walks). My hip is totally functional. Dr. Heckmann and his team are just an email or phone call away if I need them, and wow, they are super supportive! The hips Dr. Heckmann uses are state of the art, and he is masterful in his craft. Height-wise, My legs are perfectly matched, despite the high likelihood a hip surgery could have left me with a shorter leg. This surgeon and his team are the gold standard in their field. Before you decide to go with any other surgeon, do yourself a favor and meet with Dr. Heckmann first. I am so glad I did.

STC Interpreting & Translation
1641 1/2 Westwood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90024, United States
I've been working for STC Interpreting & Translation for the last five years as a Mandarin & Shanghai Interpreter. Feeling so blessed by the support of its professionalism, I can't wait to share my insider's experience working with the Company. First and foremost, the Company has impressed me with its full backup that we interpreters need while working independently out in the field facing with all kinds of unexpected challenges. I'm always briefed with information specifically for the on-site jobs or prearranged with equipment set up for some big events, With all the necessary support provided beforehand, I'm left with the least worries about what I'm going to interpret and how. Secondly, the Company has empowered its interpreters with its full trust for professionally handling certain on-the-spot scenarios if anything unexpected should happen, such as in interpreting for patients with mental illness. Thirdly, the Company's communication system is excellent. Whenever I call, it's always there for me, to say nothing of actively solving my problems asap. Last but not the least, the Company pays reasonably and always on time. In a word, working with a Company whose owner is also a professional, the Company becomes unique when things become so simple and easy, straightforwardly hitting the nail right on the head, which is both time and energy saving!
