Comment: I brought my son in for a haircut, my appointment was at 11:30 a.m. today, and we arrived earlier than expected,We were greeted by a young girl who was very kind and sweet.Nineth was our hairdresser we booked, and she was available and took my son. We showed her a picture of the haircut we had in mind.My son is very meticulous about his hair, so he is nervous. Nineth made him feel comfortable, and she really did her thing. She did an amazing job and exceeded our expectations.The salon is very glamorous and clean.You feel welcome the moment you walk in. I highly recommend Rave Beauty Bar.

Comment: I feel like the only way this place has good reviews is because they ask you to do it right at check out and even hand you a card to scan to take you right to google - maybe thinking if you are doing it right there in front of them you will feel pressured for a good review. I don’t necessarily like posting negative reviews but felt I should share. I will just stick to the facts - I didn’t have crazy expectations and I’m not really hard to please - but the haircut I went in for was embarrassing. I didn’t go in for anything cray - a haircut on longish straight hair with some basic face framing layers in the front. The end result had the bottom back with blunt, choppy and uneven all around. The layers were choppy, uneven, not blended - you know those videos of young girls cutting their own bangs???? Well that was my whole cut all around. To top it off it felt like straw from whatever products they use which don’t seem like professional products. They also charged me 85 for the cut which is the same or even more than I have paid in high end nice salons. To add to this - the stylists station looked dirty - ick! I am now going to immediately have to find a place and spend yet another 80–100 to have my hair fixed because it was so bad I can’t let it go like this it’s so uneven. Lesson learned on my part I guess! Also - not to sound snobby or anything but normally when I go to a salon the girls are friendly - no one looked in my direction except my stylist - they don’t offer coffee or water - didn’t ask me if the temp of water for the wash was okay - didn’t really just seem to have any overall professionalism that you can get at a salon. I’m the end of the cut was even slightly okay I wouldn’t bother to leave this - but honestly I’m going g to have to get it corrected asap! And again - it’s not like they are inexpensive. They are charging high end prices for an experience that is anything but.

Comment: I have never in all my years of getting my haircut, had such a bad experience. I asked for some layers in the back of my hair with it longer in the front than in the back, WITHOUT taking too much length. I had a picture of what I wanted in the back and the bottom layer length went past the bottom of the girls neck in the picture. Mind you, I came into the salon with hair going past my shoulders. I walked out of the salon with the sides of my hair long and uneven, the back of my hair only went to above my ears, with random chunks missing!!! I did not realize how BAD my hair was until I got home and cried for two days until I found my old hairdresser who I knew could help fix it -- but I knew I was going to have to chop my hair even more. So now I have SHORT hair.. I was originally not going to leave a review because I didnt want to be mean. But after my hairdresser and her co-worker, another hairdresser saw my hair, they couldnt believe I was left to walk out of the salon with my hair looking the way it did. I was so angry that I had to cut off all my hair and I dont want this happening to someone else. So in closing, Christina, please do not do this to anyone again!! How you thought this was okay is beyond me..

Comment: I am still in disbelief!! I made an appointment a day before to get my hair died and blow dried. I arrived to my appointment 10-15 minutes late, traffic was horrible due to the holiday. When I arrived, she confirmed with me what she was gonna do to my hair. When it was time to rinse my hair she said she was not gonna blow dry my hair because I was late. She said she had other appointments. I then asked her what was she was gonna do and said only rinse. I can not believe this. I have never ever felt the way she made me feel. I literally left the salon with My hair dripping water. I had to ask her to clean my face where the paint was around my face. Every girl who blow dries their hair for-sure know that it does takes more than 10-15 minutes to blow dry hair. When I arrived she never said anything about being late. I did. Apologize and everyone was talking about how bad traffic was.. How can you trust a place like this, what if you have a very important event and they play you like this. I am always punctual, today’s traffic is still horrible due to everyone starting their holidays weekend early. Unbelievable!!!!! Beware! If I can post 0 stars I would.

Alma is the best for both long and short hair. This upscale salon hidden in Sylmar does it all, hair, makeup, waxing, lash extensions, you name it, they probably do it!
