Comment: This is the place to go!!! I fractured my fifth metacarpal (bone in the hand that connects to the pinky) last year and had to have surgery. Afterwards I did some physical therapy, but it just wasnt enough. On a whim I decided to try acupuncture and checked out Lorens practice. After my first visit I had immediate increase in my range of motion and significantly less discomfort. I returned weekly for several months. Loren is always totally transparent about what he can help heal and what injuries are beyond the scope of acupuncture. My hand may never be totally normal again, but the amount of relief and the increased flexibility I gained through Lorens practice is truly incredible. Every doctor should prescribe visits to this sort of acupuncture practice after a surgery. Loren is super friendly, has great interesting tidbits about the history of Chinese medicine, and never misled me or withheld information in attempt to get me to spend more money. Highly, highly, highly recommended.

Comment: After having some circulation and weakness in one side of my body, I started seeing Loren for treatment. I had never done acupuncture before, and was definitely a little skeptical at first, but Loren was a complete professional and explained the history and theory behind the treatment process, which really put me at ease!He does an amazing job explaining the process and communicating with his clients, making sure theyre not in pain and feeling the treatment. After a few months, my circulation issues have resolved completely. Im almost a little sad to say that, as I was looking forward to my weekly acupuncture treatments, thats how well it worked! Ive recommended him to all my friends and if I ever have issues in the future, will definitely see him again!

Comment: I’ve been seeing Loren since 2021 to treat chronic neck/shoulder pain, among other issues. I’ve been to numerous acupuncturists over the years with mixed results, but Loren is the absolute BEST! He is very thorough and knowledgeable and you really feel like he cares- because he does. Almost every other acupuncturist I’ve been to inserts a few needles and then leaves the room for a while. This is not the case with Loren, who spends the entire session constantly adding, removing, monitoring and adjusting needles, and making sure I’m OK. I usually leave the sessions a bit sore, but in the best way possible. Loren’s acupuncture is able to target and release aches and pains in a way that I have not experienced elsewhere. In addition to acupuncture, Loren uses other modalities including cupping, massage, and Chinese herb/tea prescriptions. He looks at the big picture. I have referred several friends and family to Loren who have all had very positive experiences. He is truly a master of his craft who has devoted his life to acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and healing his patients. He’s the real deal!

He healed all my pain to my suffering from digestive issues, stress headache, migraine and my face is a little crooked from my Id pictures. Since working with him, my digestive issues have greatly improved, I no longer have the tension on my shoulder. My crooked face improve. I havent had any significant pain!Loren was friendly as well, also he did follow up with his concerns. You can tell that he genuinely wants to help u feel better. He makes u feel comfortable at each visit, especially if it’s ur first experience with acupuncture (which it was for me). Im so glad I started working with him - but as other reviewers have mentioned, the key is to be consistent with your treatments! I did notice positive changes after the first treatment, but it did take some time to for the benefits to be more stable.Anyway, if youre looking to try acupuncture, you should definitely come to see Loren!Thank you so much Loren.

Comment: I had never had acupuncture before I met Loren, and frankly was skeptical of its benefits. But when I mentioned this to him, he validated that this is common, and then took the time to explain the art and science of acupuncture to me.I asked him to work on areas of my body that were tight or giving me trouble, and he was open to feedback during the treatment and never left the room while working. I felt that he used both his education and his intuition to guide him on where to put the needles.As a psychotherapist, I often have clients come to me who have had negative experiences with previous therapists. I am grateful that for my first acupuncture experience, I found Loren, who cares passionately about the work and is respectful of the history of it. Although I did not take advantage of it, he also is trained to help clients with herb treatments.Highly recommended!

Comment: I am forever grateful to have had Loren Stiteler treat me 6 months ago for severe pain in my hip. One day a deep very sharp pain hit sprang up in my left hip, probably a perfect storm of a preexisting condition exacerbated an injury. The pain was so intense that I could not sleep at all for 5 days. Two conventional MDs prescribe pain killers and PT which did not help. It was only the sessions with Stiteler that ended the crisis; and there has been no re-occurrence. Honestly it was miraculous. I highly recommend!

This continued to improve after each session! He gave me tools to heal on my own after the sessions which worked very well. The combination of his work, the Chinese herbs, and the self care advice he gave was perfect. Along with my neck pain healing, other things I was feeling (mentally & physically) were healed as well. However, there is one word that comes to mind when describing Lorens work and that is transcendent. It is an amazing feeling to be on Lorens table and to actually feel your body respond to his touch and how he places his needles - his palpation skills are instinctive, intuitive, and accurate. Loren stays with you in the treatment room during the entire session so there is constant communication and dialogue about what is happening in your body - and the results are immediate and lasting. A teacher himself, Loren also remains an inveterate student of his profession. Loren is an interesting, lovely, talented, and knowledgeable practitioner.

Comment: Loren is awesome!I had originally started seeing him for ED. Im pretty young. So ED at my age was not only annoying, but it was pretty embarrassing. And the more I got in my head about it, the worse it would get too. He said we needed to improve circulation in my pelvis and calm my anxiety. Made sense. After a few acupuncture treatments on my inner thighs as well as some Chinese herbs, things began to get waaaaaaaaaay better. Not only did the ED and anxiety improve, but my libido got way stronger too! Now I can happily say the problem is gone, and we have been able to move on to fixing other things.All this is to say that I am extremely happy with the care Ive received. Loren is a rare find and Los Angeles is lucky to have him.

Comment: Wow! If you want to go to an acupuncturist and actually feel better, Loren is the one for you. The first time I had a back spasm, I went to a chiropractor and it took weeks to get better. This time I went to Loren and it took ONE SESSION. 90% better the next day.I have been to many acupuncturists and worked intensively with three for over a year each. Getting a session with Loren is completely different. Loren is brilliant, science focused, and very methodical. He won’t just poke you a bunch and then leave making you think some sort of magic is taking place and then you never really feel better. He actively works with the needles to get your body back to health. Ask him, he’ll explain it, it’s very cool. Comment: I went to see a doctor about my trigger thumb. They recommended a steroid shot. If after 3 steroid shots there was no change, they would then operate. I asked what are my other options to which she replied, This is western medicine. I told her I was seeing an acupuncturist and she said that wont help. Wow! Did she get it wrong! Thank you Loren. I saw Loren once a week until it was gone. No negative side effects from acupuncture. My thumb no longer pops or gets stuck, it moves freely and I can continue my work as massage therapist. Comment: I came to seek Loren’s help with my neck strain which was trickling down my lower back. It was my first experience with acupuncture and the relieve was instant. Complete with cupping and herbal, I felt total relieve within a few days and was able to go back to my regular exercise routine without pain! Specifically, the stubborn knot on my neck was gone and was able to turn my head with ease again. Loren’s knowledge of the traditional Chinese medicine healing methods is impressive. Comment: I have been Lorens patient for the last few years and I truly dont think Ill ever see anyone else. Before seeing him, I probably saw about four different acupuncturists - all who practiced very similarly: they would briefly discuss your concern, have you lay on the table, very superficially insert needles into you and leave the room for you to fall asleep for 45 minutes or so. I always felt conflicted about returning to these acupuncturists because I rarely felt substantial or sustained results, but would continue because it did provide some temporary relief. I quietly accepted that was all acupuncture would be - a few needles, calming music, and some time to relax.But then, I met Loren. He completely changed the way I view acupuncture, has resolved so many of my health concerns, and provides a level care that I know I can rely on and will produce significant and sustained results. Ive seen him for so many things: female-related hormone imbalance, concussions, muscular overuse injuries, etc., and there isnt one ailment that he hasnt been able to help. I am a surfing, soccer playing, PhD student with a full-time job, so I am constantly putting my mind and body through it, but I feel completely confident in pursuing these things because I know I have Loren to call when something goes wrong! Some highlights about Loren that set him apart: hell spend the whole appointment with you - yes, the whole appointment; hell review your medical history and current complaint in great detail; hell educate you on what hes doing, why hes doing it, and how it works; he doesnt just use needles, he uses other techniques such as massage, gua sha, etc., depending on what is most effective for your issue - all of which Ive had great success with; hes wicked smart and will not only treat you, but hell educate you on other ways to heal (diet, herbs, etc.); and lastly, hes one of the most engaged practitioners Ive had the pleasure of working with - he practices in a way that makes you feel heard, cared for, and that you have someone in your corner who will do everything in their power to help you heal. Comment: A little over a year ago, I had an inexplicable break out of eczema/dermatitis. Aside from the lesions, my skin was very dry, and I felt like my finger nails became thin. I went through THREE different dermatologists, and non of them could give me any reason for a cause, or any treatment that made significant improvement. I started seeing Loren and received herbal treatment, and within a short amount of time my skin made dramatic improvements. Now it is 100% back to normal, and I have not had any return symptoms or issues. Ive since seen Loren for a few other mild ailments, and every time I have had the best of care, and outcome. I highly recommend seeing Loren Stiteler for any type of treatment. Also if you are skeptical of acupuncture, he is very good at demystifying the treatment and giving you a better understanding of what exactly is going on.
