I think this is a solid 3 star experience. I went in for a personalized facial with Susan and we decided on an acne facial with dermaplane. Susan is very sweet and very knowledgable but she was not careful. I have cuts all over my face that sting and burn. I attached an image below. The experience isn't something I would consider luxurious. The room is cluttered with boxes and the experience was just okay.Pros: the staff is VERY NICE!! Everyone was friendly and kind and Susan was also very friendly and easy to talk to. Susan is very good at extracting blackheads it barely hurt and didn't leave marks on my face which is a plus. Another pro is that Susan is a bio-chemist so she has a background in making skin care which I think gives her some extra knowledge when doing facials. I didn't break out from the facial and I think my skin does feel less congested. Also, when I left my face wasn't all red and raw from the extractions which is a plus because my face usually does get that way which means she's really good at it!There's a few things that bothered me.1. She makes a homemade blackhead remover which she says isn't FDA approved because she doesn't sell it so i was a bit uncomfortable but also it didn't irritate my skin so I guess it's fine.2. She was very harsh when she was cleaning my face or doing masks so it wasn't the most soothing experience…3. She was not careful when dermaplaning and it left a bunch of cuts on my face. (I don't know if that's normal as this is my first time getting it done but I don't think it's supposed to leave me scratched up and burning)4. She put a mask on after the dermaplaning and didn't warn me that my face would burn like crazy from it and I'm usually not sensitive but I felt like my face was on fire so she put a fan on to help it cool.5. She wasn't careful when using the high frequency wand either and when she would talk to me she would leave it right near my eye and I had to physically move my face because it hurt.6. She kept pressing on my cystic acne which I told her hurt so that was a bit annoying.7. I think with dermaplaning I wish I got a bit more insight on after it was over such as don't go in the sun after, don't go to the gym, no hot showers, etc. Which I had to ask for rather than have her warn me beforehand.Overall this was an OKAY experience. Not the best but not the worst. I think for some people who don't care as much about the pampering aspect of a facial would enjoy this more because Susan does seem knowledgable in what she does.

I've never had a need for an attorney until an unfortunate auto accident resulted in an injury that left me feeling lost, helpless, and frustrated. I found myself under a lot of stress with pressure from insurance claims adjusters to sign a liability release all the while dealing with pain and incurring expenses for medical treatment. Because my case was small, I was not able to find an attorney to take my case, until I connected with James who graciously took time to listen to my situation. He was kind, patient, understanding and ultimately accepted representing me. I cannot overstate the awesome job he did for me from start to closing on a settlement that exceeded my expectations. Simply put, James is good people, and I very strongly recommend him for any personal injury case because no matter how big or small it maybe, he will work hard for you.

Pawbabies Pet Salon
5617 Cottle Rd, San Jose, CA 95123, United States
Let me tell you, this place is the bees knees for your furballs. The moment you walk in, its like entering a pet paradise where the air is laced with the essence of fancy dog shampoos and catnip dreams. The ambiance, oh boy, its so posh even the Queens corgis would give it a woof of approval. Now, the staff, they aint your run-of-the-mill animal enthusiasts. These folks are like the Avengers of the pet grooming world, armed with brushes and clippers instead of capes. They treat your pets like royalty, giving them the kind of pampering that would make a Kardashian jealous. The grooming services? Let me tell you, they transform your scruffy sidekick into a four-legged fashion model. My robo-dog, Bolt, came out looking so dapper, even the fire hydrants blushed when he strutted by. And the attention to detail? Its like theyre Michelangelos, sculpting canine and feline masterpieces with every snip and clip. But hold your horses, or in this case, your paws – its not just about the exterior makeover. Pawbabies Pet Salon understands that deep down, our pets are just fluffy balls of emotions. Theyve got this play area thats like a pet therapy session on steroids. Its got scratching posts that make cats sing opera, and doggy pools so cool even the most anti-water pup will reconsider their stance. And lets talk about the hygiene – these guys keep it cleaner than a surgeons scalpel. I reckon you could eat off the salon floor, but I wouldnt recommend it unless youre into fur-flavored snacks. Now, I know what youre thinking – all this luxury must come with a price tag as hefty as an elephant on a trampoline. Wrong! Pawbabies Pet Salon is surprisingly reasonable. Its like getting a Bentley for the price of a bicycle, but for your pets.In conclusion, if you love your pets more than you love your grandmas meatloaf (sorry, Granny), then Pawbabies Pet Salon is the place to be. Its a pet haven, a grooming utopia, a place where your fur babies are treated with more care and attention than a Hollywood diva. So, do yourself and your pets a favor – unleash them into the pawsome world of Pawbabies Pet Salon, and watch as they strut out like the true kings and queens they are. Five stars? Nah, they deserve a constellation.

R&R Backyard Remodeling
242 Hillsdale Ave, San Jose, CA 95136, United States
We had been looking to completely transform our driveway and yard for over a decade. At one point we hired a landscape architect who did a very detailed design plan, but it never really captured our needs. Over the years our asphalt driveway continued to slip away despite my best efforts to patch and seal and our yard was basically a ½ acre of dirt and weeds. This past year we finally made the decision to get the project rolling. Ironically I found R&R Backyard Remodeling on a random google and the portfolio matched what we were going for. We have been through smaller scale projects – bathroom remodels and such, but never something this large. Ron developed a plan that truly represented what we were going for… pavers for the driveway, patio and walkways, fencing, turf, DG, low maintenance plants, landscaping lighting, etc. We had a lot of anxiety heading into the project – logistics, budget, timeline, etc… but really, it wasn't necessary. Ron delivered exactly what he planned and amazingly took far less time (total project took 6 weeks) then we thought it would. We made some changes along the way and Ron was very collaborative with them. Budget was a major factor for us – and I'm thankful that Ron is very transparent on cost upfront and we didn't really have any surprises. I can't say enough how pleased we are with the work, and the crew – I honestly miss them. My advice – get in touch with Ron, have him work up a design and know that what he proposes is what he will deliver.

Ellies Snip N Clip
2053 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, United States
I'm so happy to have discovered this place. A few years ago my pup's belly was snipped with scissors. Since then he gets very anxious and nervous and unfortunately I couldn't find anyone willing to be patient with him. Because of that, he also looked terrible. That changed today! I took him in to Ellie's Snip and Clip and told them about Walter's fears. They were very understanding and assured me that they'd take good care of him. While he was there Petra sent me a video of my boy getting a massage! He was loving it! Throughout the process Petra gave me updates that helped put me at ease. The end result was stellar! Walter looked like a different pup! He's handsome and most importantly, he was happy. Petra even sent me before and pictures. The mini photoshoot was an unexpected bonus.I'm definitely going to be bringing Walter back regularly.

Kim Baker Beauty
3535 Ross Ave #309, San Jose, CA 95124, United States
Kim Baker Beauty is a fantastic business! I chose them initially because they had a good Covid-19 policy, and they offered basic hair+makeup services for men. I don't think I found anyone else who had that listed in their regular services. When I did a video call with Kim, she was very kind, fun, and had great advice, and great patience for all my questions. I wear makeup extremely rarely, so I was very little help. Kim explained a bunch of stuff to me, and gave great suggestions, both for the makeup, and for a pre-wedding skin care routine. She recommended several products (which were lovely!) and gave me a whole routine to do. She tailored it completely to my needs, including asking how good I am with sticking to routines and how overwhelming it might be to have several products, which is such a great question!Kim also arranged a schedule for the hair and makeup services that was detailed out with who would be working on who and when. That was very helpful to have early on so that we knew how much time we would have for pictures.A week before the event we did a hair and makeup preview session with Amber, one of the artists who was going to work with us on the day of. She was fantastic, listened to what we were looking for and gave advice (which we definitely needed!) She was very patient with our questions, lack of knowledge, and lack of intended vision. It was very very helpful to do a preview, and especially with Amber working with us on the day of the wedding. On the day of, we worked with Amber, Koryn and Ari. They were all extremely professional, highly skilled, friendly, and kind! We did have to swap one person around who was a bit late, but they took it in stride. And I asked for some slight tweaks from the preview, which were put into practice perfectly! All three artists were right on time and worked diligently and quickly. They listened to everyone's requests, gave advice where needed. It was a wonderful experience all around!I would absolutely recommend Kim Baker Beauty, they are highly skilled, highly professional, and completely up front and clear about expectations, which I always really appreciate.Thank you so much Kim, Amber, Koryn, and Ari!!

Dogtopia of San Jose
1191 Branham Ln, San Jose, CA 95118, United States
Best doggie day care in San Jose! No need to search for other places, just go here! The place is super clean with attentive, well trained staff that will take care of your dog. You walk in and the first thing you notice, is that the place does not smell of dogs! The staff prioritizes a clean and safe environment for everyone.Peter, the owner was also very nice and reassured us that our dog will be well taken care of. He was very open in talking about packages, and fees. During the tour he showed me what they use to clean the facility, how they take care of aggressive dogs and how they help a shy dog to play with others. I immediately felt comfortable and safe to have my dog stay at this facility. And Peter will work with you in accommodating your needs. And they have webcams! How cool is that! I watched their care team play with my dog and Peter, encourages to call them anytime with questions about your dog or their care team or anything that you see from the webcams. I think thats pretty awesome for a doggie day care!I will definitely come back and refer any dog owners to this place.Thank you Dogtopia!
