Comment: Lupe (MUA) and Lien (hair) from Kim Baker Beauty did an amazing job taking care of me, my daughter-in-law and granddaughters hair and makeup for my son’s wedding at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga. Lupe gave us amazing eyes and our skin looked fantastic! My little granddaughters loved the special attention. Comment: FABULOUS!!I can’t say enough good things about my experience!! I found Kim and her crew through a friend who works in her building and I just went with my gut and gave it a try! Comment: Kim Baker Beauty is awesome! Im writing this from the perspective of a wedding photographer. Her team did makeup and hair for a bride/bridesmaids I photographed. She was very communicative, even before the wedding, and made sure that her team was finished with plenty of time before photos.On your wedding day, its so important that your wedding vendors work together and I loved that she was so conscientious of time and made sure that the couple got where they needed to be with no stress. I think this is a huge part of being a great makeup/hair artist on wedding days!Also - all the ladies looked stunning!

Comment: In a sea of wedding vendors, it can be overwhelming to find someone who will not only make your vision come true, but be an absolute pleasure to work with - Kim is one of those gems! I highly recommend working with her if you have the chance. She did my wedding hair & makeup and trial, along with the makeup for my 3 MOH/Bridesmaids.She was very accommodating when scheduling my hair and makeup trial, even meeting me at my office on a Friday despite it being a few hours out of her way. During the trial she asked me questions about my skin and beauty routine before giving me samples and recommendations on how to best take care of my skin during the 6 weeks leading up to my wedding. She listened thoughtfully as I described the hair & makeup styles that I had envisioned - a natural face that made my eyes pop & a partially up hairstyle. While she did my makeup we bonded over our shared passion for early childhood education and of course talked all things weddings, the time flew by!When she finished up we discussed some of the things I loved, and some things I didnt like as much as I expected to. She took these notes and ended up even buying a few specific pieces of makeup to use on me - the final result the day of the wedding was absolutely perfect!! Im so glad we did the trial, it allowed me to learn exactly what I wanted, while also giving Kim & I time to get to know each other better before the wedding day. After all, she spent the full morning in the bridal suite with us, so it was important to me that we genuinely enjoyed each others company! She was so easy to get along with, my mother, sisters, and friends all loved having her with us.Finally, knowing that I tend to run sweaty & it was going to be a gorgeous day out, Kim thought ahead to put extra setting spray on my makeup, and hair spray - especially important for boogying on the dance floor! This extra thought allowed for my hair & makeup to look great all through the night - the photos are proof! Thank you so much for making my big day so special, Kim.

Comment: Kim was my makeup and hair artist for my wedding in July 2022 and I could not recommend her enough. Her style is very low-key and natural, yet absolutely stunning. She knows so much about working with all different skin types and types of makeup looks to create the perfect personalized look for my wedding party! She had me upload my inspiration photos and consulted with me and my own facial anatomy and hair texture and length to make the perfect makeup and hair look for my wedding day and it was better than anything I could have dreamed of. She continuously checked in throughout our entire process of working together and was so communicative and open to questions. While we were getting ready, Kim had such a calming, grounding energy that REALLY helped with my nerves and made my wedding morning such a special experience. She is so warm and friendly yet chill and really made us all feel so beautiful. She did our absolute dream hair and makeup for myself, my mom, my maid of honor, and one of our guests and all four of us kept looking in mirrors throughout the day saying how do I look this good?! Comment: I recently had a photoshoot for business headshots. Kim was there two hours ahead for hair and makeup and then stayed the entire time. It was so reassuring to have her there; paying attention to the little details and making sure I looked fabulous throughout. Comment: I hired Kim to do makeup for my wedding, and Im so glad I did. Kim is thoughtful and kind, a great listener, a skilled artist, and wants to do whatever it takes to make you feel great on your big day. I loved being able to meet with her multiple times before the wedding to discuss plans, what Im looking for, etc. She has you take skincare surveys ahead of time so she can work with you to make sure your skin is looking great on your big day. She also has a great energy and is a fun person to have in the room while youre getting ready. I highly recommend Kim to anyone who wants to feel so so beautiful but still look like themselves. As Kim called it bridal glam, but you!

From the get go with our trial, her calm and relaxing demeanor made me feel so much more relaxed and confident that I was in good hands! She really made us feel connected on a deeper level as friends and she always checked in with suggestions and happy thoughts! She truly did the extra and went above and beyond. She stayed with us through first look photos right up until the ceremony, and she was right there to bring me a smile and calm my happy tears with her magic brushes! As a person whose skin is sooo oily, i was so concerned that my makeup would melt right off...NOPE NOT THIS TIME! My makeup stayed flawless through a night of kisses, dancing and (sweating :/). I do not wear a lot of makeup to begin with and she made me feel incredible and perfectly made up with just the simple touches! We went with the natural lash extensions for the day, and Im never looking back :), I cannot believe how much she brought out that inner beauty and glow. When I got engaged, I was nervous about finding a natural make-up artist for myself and my 8 bridesmaids, because for your wedding, you really want your make-up to be perfect. When I found Kim, I knew she was the artist I was looking for! Not only is her work gorgeous, but she also got to know me as a person, and my regular style and make-up preferences. She asks questions about your skin care routine, and even provides suggestions and tips on all things skin care, makeup, and more! The day of the wedding, she arrived early and kept track of the schedule for all my bridesmaids and myself. She even did my aunts make up when she requested the service last minute! Kim brings a calming presence to the bridal chaos, and was someone I looked to for tips through out my engagement process. I highly recommend Kim!

Comment: Kim was hands down the only makeup artist I would have considered for my wedding day. Kim has a great way of listening and understanding what style you are looking for but making it look super natural and airbrushed. Not only that, but Kim is extremely patient and extremely calm -- and trust me, on your wedding day that is the exact type of energy you want to be around. Her skin care products and high end and by the end of the skin care routine you already feel beautiful. She created a gorgeous neutral smudged eye look and very much a bronzed and blushed bride. Ive never had my make up professionally done because I like the way I look when I do my own make up so I was apprehensive I wouldnt be happy with the end result but I am SO happy I ended up booking with Kim. When I looked in the mirror it didnt even look like my skin...it was magic -- all the rough and bumpy texture was totally disguised by natural, glowing make up . She did my moms make up too and she looked gorgeous also. Our makeup photographed well all night long, too which was the ultimate plus. Kim is the best and I couldnt recommend her enough.

Comment: My wedding is coming up and I had no idea what to do about my makeup. I didn’t plan an artist into my budget and when I began asking for quotes quickly realized I unfortunately wouldn’t be able to have someone do my makeup for me. Then, I stumbled upon Kim! I saw that she offered bridal makeup, but even better makeup lessons. I figured at least this way I could sit down with an artist chat about my concerns and get a better idea of how to pull it off myself. Kim was super helpful and sweet from the first email, I sent her a list of all my products and she worked with things I already had to build my perfect look. She suggested a few new things which I was happy to purchase and try and then we set up our lesson. I showed her a few of my inspirations pics and then she walked me through my makeup look from beginning to end, correcting me when my technique could use improvement and teaching me some new ones as well. She helped guide me throughout the application but ultimately let me decide how dark or intense the look ended up being. She made notes so I could remember what we did throughout the time as well. The whole time we were chatting and it felt like getting ready with just a super helpful friend :) I left feeling a lot more confident about the whole process and feeling empowered to do my own makeup on such a momentous day.
