San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmet...

This is a review of SFIEC as a student in regards to their education program:Ive been wanting to get into cosmetology for as long as I can remember. Now its been 7 years since I graduated from f high school and Ive finally taken the plunge. I looked around at a few other schools that offered cosmetology programs, but I never had that aha! moment until I set foot in SFIEC. The energy that I received from everyone at the school was nothing but warm, welcoming and playful. Some points before I get side tracked and start gushing about how ridiculously in love with this school I am:* The teachers- or learning leaders as they like to call them- are amazing. Hands down I dont think Ive ever had this thorough of instruction before. And whats even better is that they really cater to everyones learning needs. I definitely am not a slow learner, but I learn better with different analogies, and a lot of visual and tactile references and they are always more than willing to offer it.*The administrative staff: This has probably been the only time that Ive actually really enjoyed interacting with the administrative staff of a school before. Id been to a community college and fashion design school prior to SFIEC and it seemed like EVERYONE there was so unfriendly and unhelpful which in turn made it increasingly confusing to try to figure out what to do or who to talk to for help. At SFIEC all the people that Ive interacted with have been nothing but friendly, helpful and excited when Ive come to them with questions.Colleen (the administrative director) is AMAZING. Shes the one that made me so sure that I was making the right choice. Her confidence and enthusiasm about the school is genuine and contagious.Yuto (the financial aid leader) is a FAFSA wizard, and probably the happiest person Ive ever seen working in a financial department of a school. And Deedee (the dean) is probably one of the most inspirational people Ive met. Her drive and belief in her staff and students is really uplifting.ANYWAYS, hopefully at this point its obvious why Im so head over heels for this school. If youre thinking of going into cosmetology I would definitely DEFINITELY recommend SFIEC :D

Athleticamps Bike Fitting, Coaching, and Travel
7700 Folsom-Auburn Rd #130, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
Bruce at Athleticamps took me to my best triathlon race season ever! I entrusted Bruce to train me leading up to IMCA 2022, but along the way I had 5 Olympics, 2 70.3's, and ending the season with CIM. I set PR's in all those distances, with a sub 11hr in IMCA in brutal gusting wind conditions. Bruce's guidance gave me the confidence and the solid game plan to succeed and become a competitive age group (45-49) athlete.Bruce was direct in his training method, no sugar coating, which was evident in the first 5mins of the face-to-face coaching interview when he asked me how much I weigh and then telling me I needed to drop 10-15lbs. He was right! The other aspect I was looking for was scheduling flexibility as I travel for a profession and have to utilize hotel facilities like treadmills and stationary bikes. Bruce adjusted accordingly, and despite several days on the road I never had a drop in training or its fitness.Lastly, with Bruce's bike fitting and coaching the cycling game increased dramatically. My swimming game was always good, running was average, but my bike was the weakest and my previous times showed it. Bruce changed all that, as the masses were no longer passing me once I got to the bike loosing that lead from the water. In all, if you are looking at making strong gains in your race season and think you need the accountability of a coach I strongly recommend Bruce at Athleticamps.
Sacramento Foot and Ankle Center
1600 Creekside Dr #3100, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
Dr. Wilkes is a fantastic podiatrist. He's professional, kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. He is helping mitigate my extreme foot pain, and doing so in a way that keeps me active. While surgery in the future still may be needed, he greatly supports that option as a last resort. The custom orthotics I got from him are game-changers. Cortisone helps, too. He spends the time needed with me every visit, and he listens and makes sure I understand all my options. Wonderful physician and person. Highly recommend.
Resonance Physical Therapy & Wellness
2545 E Bidwell St STE 140, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
In 2011 I started having back pain in the middle of my back. At one point, I was carrying laundry upstairs and I felt something in my stomach rip. I though it was odd, but didnt really consider its impact on my back until much later. By 2013 the pain was so unbearable that I thought I wouldnt be able to sit for an entire flight from Sacramento to New Mexico. I went to see a chiropractor. He treated me about six times and then decided he needed to see xrays. So he sent me to his doctor since I didnt have a doctor. She became my primary care doctor and had xrays and MRIs taken. There was some anomaly at the base of my spine and a disc protrusion between T10 & T11. (Neither of these places were where I was having pain.) She sent me to a pain clinic for an SI injection. That did nothing. She then gave me trigger point injections in the places where I was having pain. That didnt help either. She sent me to the Northern California Spine & Rehabilitation center. They were worthless. She then sent me to Body Concepts physical therapy.I went to Body Concepts for six sessions. The therapist tried many, many things. But nothing helped. A friend had recommended MFR (Myofascial Release). The MFR therapist I saw for six years, which provided temporary relief. She did note that my vertebrae at T6 was twisted one direction while the vertebrae at T8 was twisted the opposite direction.Early on my doctor had wondered whether I had scoliosis. So, given the observation of the MFR therapist, I went back to the doctor to ask for a scoliosis scan. The result said there was levoconvex curvature of the mid to lower thoracic spine, measuring 9 degrees, and dextroconvex curvature upper lumbar spine measuring 13 degrees. So not drastic curvature. But I had been doing various core exercises and felt that I probably should check with someone about those given the scoliosis diagnosis.I Googled and found Dr. Sandy in Folsom. I saw her initially for six or eight appointments and she was able to give me some exercises that alleviated the pain. At one point, she performed some MFR that caused the pain to disappear entirely for about four hours. Unfortunately, the pain returned. In one of her first examinations, she found that I had an oblique tear on my left side. This explained the rip I felt in my stomach so many years prior. And no one else, including my doctor, had ever found that.In the middle of the sessions I was having with Dr. Sandy, I was having right shoulder pain too, so I had an MRI and that showed a superior labral tear. So Dr. Sandy also worked on that area. But I had to have surgery to repair the tear. I saw her again after the shoulder surgery and that, along with the prior work shed done, helped to speed the recovery from surgery. After the first set of appointments, I didnt see Dr. Sandy again until I started having pain in my left shoulder that felt like the pain Id had in my right shoulder, which was the following year. She was convinced that the shoulder pain was due to the rotation in my spine. She worked on my left shoulder but also worked to figure out the rotation which was occurring not only in my upper thoracic spine but in my lower spine as well. She gave me several exercises that I could do myself to push my upper spine back into place, such that the debilitating pain calms down considerably. I can do this whenever it starts hurting and it allows me to continue to do activities without hurting constantly. For this, I am eternally grateful. She has been able to help me when I had almost lost hope of being helped. So many practitioners just want to take the quickest approach to getting you out of their office. Dr. Sandy spent many hours trying to find the root cause and address that. As a result, I can alleviate my back pain myself, my left shoulder no longer hurts, and with her help, Ive avoided surgery for that one.If youre in pain, you should start with Dr. Sandy instead of doing like I did, wading through ineffective procedures and practitioners for years.
WealthWise Mortgage Planning

Andrew Vierra and his team are professional, polite, and above all, RESPONSIVE! I was referred to them by my realtor when my original lenders were dragging their feet just to get me my pre-approval letter.Vierra and his team were constantly submitting new pre-approval letters for me during the home purchasing / hunting process. There was never a worry that they would get me the letter in time for the offer to be submitted. On professionalism, the team contacted me regularly via e-mails. If I was unable to view and respond to the e-mails, they called me on the phone to review the information sent, assuring that I understood what I was getting myself into.Rather than give me any interest rate that they could lock me into, the team waited until a pinnacle moment and locked me into the lowest interest rate the market has seen in... ever. Not only were they happy to help me save money, they were ecstatic! I felt like they were truly on my side and not just out for themselves.Vierra and his team felt like they were my friends who really cared about me being taken care of in the long term. I am grateful for their service and highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a home.
Classic Fence Company
11301 Folsom Blvd, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742, United States
My fence blew down between my neighbors on one side during the rainy season in February. I called several fence contractors, and some never called me back, others didn't show up when they said they would come give an estimate, and yet others still said they couldn't fit me on their schedule until April just to give an estimate. Classic was timely, responsive, showed up when they said they would, gave a good price, and nice options. We live on an end lot of a cul-de-sac so our home touches 5 other properties, which made it a bit of a nightmare for me to try and track them down to coordinate, but they were all responsive, and Ruben our fence project manager was terrific and went and met with each of them separately. They have a process to bill neighbors separately which was nice I didn't have to spend a double small fortune to replace my fence. The guys came on time the days for the install and after they left a bit of mud in our courtyard, their service manager said they would come to power wash if needed (happily it rained so that solved that!). Best of all, a neighbor down the street today to comment how nice our new fence looked and to say they had gate envy over my new arched and framed out fence gate. Its huge, made of nice heavy wood, has good hardward, and looks like a proper entry gate that finally matches our beautiful home!! couldn't be happier with our fence and working with the team at Classic. Before and after photos to see the difference! Plus one of my nice new framed out gate.
Sylvan Learning of Granite Bay
8659 Auburn Folsom Rd, Granite Bay, CA 95746, United States
As part of the Granite Bay community, and having a daughter in 4th grade at Ridgeview, I understand how important it is to have an excellent learning center within our community. That's the reason my dear friend Sara Yang, who worked for the US Dept. of Education for many years, has decided to open Sylvan Learning Center—not just for the good of her own children, but more than that, it is for her dream and passion! My daughter is struggling a little with Math. After taking Sylvan's assessment. The results clearly show her weaknesses that need to be improved. I enrolled her for Math lessons 2 times a week, and now she is sharing her thoughts about her first lesson:“I had the best time at Sylvan, the teacher is really nice and funny like my teacher at school. He taught me fractions that are really hard for me, but it's easier now. I'm glad Sylvan is open, because now I can just walk there anytime from my mom's salon. ?”
Bidwell Automotive Inc

So I brought my car into the dealership for a annual check and they diagnosed that I needed new rotors and pads on my rear brakes and a new set of tires. They gave me an outrageous quote so I decided to head to Bidwell automotive on a recommendation. Art was super helpful and immediately took care of me the second I walked through the doors. They were super fast and brought my car into the garage within 10 minutes of arrival. They even found that my ebrake pad was worn down and showed me in the garage. They did not force anything on me but in the end I decided to get that fixed as well. They gave me a much better quote than the dealership on the rotors, pads, and a new set of tires. Even compared to the cost of parts at an autoshop they had around the same prices, and gave me a good deal on the labor. I arrived around 2 pm and they had it ready to be picked up the same day, but I decided to pick it up in the morning. Art was one of the best I have ever interacted with at a automotive shop. I am super pleased with my service and will be coming back here for any car needs. It is a family owned business and the customer service was much better because of this.
Drew Davis, MD
1841 Iron Point Rd, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
Wow! Where do I even begin? Was it the experience, the result, the bedside manner, the affordability.. I dont even know what to talk about first because everything about Kaufman & Davis far exceeded my expectation. After asking around and doing a little research on their website, I chose to have Dr. Davis do my breast augmentation. From the minute you walk in the door to the second you leave, you feel welcomed at this office. I had been to other surgeons private practices and could not say the same about the staff at other offices. I never once felt judged at Dr. Davis office. He is kindest doctor I have ever met and you can tell he genuinely cares for his patients. My OR nurse, Colleen, was just as amazing!! She walked me through everything that was going to happen that morning and made sure I felt comfortable before moving forward. They were there for me the whole recovery process as well; I was encouraged to ask questions if I had any concerns and when I did, they never made me feel like I was bothering them by asking questions. It was very important to me that I still look natural and that the implants would be proportionate to my body. Dr. Davis really heard what I wanted and the result is EXACTLY what I wanted. In my research prior to surgery, I read many testimonies stating that it is normal to go through a period of acclimation and sometimes even regret. Im not saying that it isnt normal but I didnt experience that for Evan a split second. Im writing this review a little more than 6 months post op and the ONLY regret ii have is that I didnt get this done sooner! I am VERY happy with my resultsIve also seen Michelle for Dysport and she is really good as well. Painless needle work with beautiful results so I will absolutely continue to go to Kaufman and Davis for all my med-spa needs from now on.
Folsom Ranch Veterinary Hospital and Urgent Care
3260 E Bidwell St, Folsom, CA 95630, United States
We followed Dr. Noack from his previous clinic as he embarked on this endeavor to open his own practice. Dr. Noack and his business partners have opened a truly remarkable veterinary office. The building is thoughtfully designed to decrease anxiety for your pet and create a warm and welcoming environment for owners as well. Simple touches like an in-ground scale for dogs and private exam rooms with comfortable couches really stand out in making visits stress-free. We were especially appreciative when our dog had an emergency and they were able to urgently fit us in. They are adapting the traditional veterinary model to support both routine and urgent care services for your pet. Their expanded business hours accommodate a variety of work schedules. Not to mention, the veterinary staff were extremely receptive, warm, knowledgeable, and prioritized the well-being of our pets. If you're looking for a new veterinarian in the area, we cannot recommend this practice enough!
