I've lived in Asia, Europe, and the US. I have never met such lovely and warm ladies as Trish and Ashley. They are professional, personable, and technically outstanding. They care about their clients and it shows in their work. I travel to San Diego whenever possible to have them do my manicure and pedicure. They are exceptional and there is no need to go anywhere else in San Diego. They will remember you even after years have passed. They are kind, positive, smart and energetic!!!!! The best of the best!!!!!!! Deborah

I always go here out of convenience just for simple gel manicures, I go to Linda who is kind and thorough with her work. This time I asked for a dip powder manicure and get a man who rushed through the whole way. I asked for a more pointed almond shape and he shaves all the way into my nail bed. It's painful to use my fingers now. He blames me that I asked for it to be narrow, but I always ask for a more pointed almond shape and have never had any tech shave the sides of my nails so deeply or so close to the cuticle. There's a spot that I kept bringing up during the process on my ring finger that looks chipped because there was no color at the top, and he kept ignoring it. And when he was done with my nails, he just slathers the cuticle oil without a care, gets up, and tells me I have to pay. My fingers look worse than when I came in, stained with the dip powder, and he makes no offer for a towel or to wash my hands.I gently disagreed with paying full price ($53) after the un-professionalism, poor work, and PAIN that I'm in and he GRABS MY HANDS and puts them in the other technicians' faces to justify his work and blame me for it.I paid and left crying.Never again.
The Spa at Torrey Pines

This Spa is so elegant and everything you want from a spa day. The check in staff was friendly and welcoming. They offer you robes and sandals. Great products for hair and face for after shower. The sauna is clean and very hot! It's perfect. The steam room was a little run down, that is my only complaint. They had ice towels for you to use if needed. The lounge area was very cozy, warm, a little fireplace burning, blankets and had great tea selection and some fruit options. The reason I'm giving this place 5 stars is for the massage therapist Jackie! She was amazing. She was friendly and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. She asked if I had any problem areas and she addressed them in the massage. Her massage was relaxing and therapeutic.I've been to the lodge for their food many times and it's also 5 stars! Love this place, great ambience and friendly staff.

Best spa + salon in town⭐️ Super luxurious and relaxing energy. I also love that they have free valet parking. Another bonus is that they give you a free day pass to use the entire facility when you book with them. I was able to go to a yin yoga class and use the steam room before my appointment.Amazing massage therapists. I came in with back pain (to the point where it was hard to take a deep breathe) and Robert was able to realign my ribs and spine back to normal.I get my hair done with Joshua. Super friendly and professional stylist. I also get my hair cut with Violet. Both are the best in the industry! Highly recommend!!

Beautician, friend, life coach(?)This review is coming in a little over a week later. I don't get my eyebrows done often now being a busy mom of two, but I had a wedding coming up that I had to attend and my eyebrows were screaming “Help us!” I found Gazal with a stunning 5 star rating and thought she could help me with my sparse eyebrows!Anywho before I found Gazal I had decided that I wanted to try a laminate with tint since I'm not sure if I want to commit to micro blading let alone have enough information on it but she shared tons of advice and tips and reassured me that I would do well with micro blading even tho that's not what I was there for.Gazal really took her time with my eyebrows and has such a warm and nurturing spirit.Keeping me comfortable the entire time. We shared laughs and deep conversations in our short time together. In the end my eyebrows proved to be thin and my skin would not take the tint very well but the laminate worked wonderfully and still looks great. Now the tint has been gone for some days so that's not something I'd do again but I would laminate again. The only thing that would keep this from being 5 stars is that after the first night I took a real good look and realized that my eyebrows weren't properly trimmed. Luckily I have some experience in doing this myself so I was able to cut them back into shape and bam! They looked amazing. So I'm not going to dock for that. All in all I would recommend coming here for good quality advice and service!

I recently rescued an extremely large Great Dane who is lovely but needed a good bath after spending quite some time in a shelter. I originally wanted to take Winnie there to do the self-wash because I didn't want him to feel overwhelmed. I arrived at 4:30pm-ish. Garret didn't think Winnie would fit in the self-wash tub so very kindly offered to bath Winnie in the other one even though they were due to close at 5pm. He let me stay with Winnie because I didn't want him to get stressed by a new experience. Garret was so kind and gentle with him and he looks and smells amazing! I should imagine it would be somewhat intimidating to most people to bath a Great Dane let alone trim their nails! I am so happy that we have found a great place for Winnie to be groomed. Thank you for your kindness and compassion, Garret, you made it such a positive experience for us. See you soon! Emma + Winnie.

The dogs had a spa day today, and theyre so happy!Washed, fluffed, shaved, pedicures, Brazilians and anal gland treatments all around. This is a new place. Weve been trying to find someone who could fill the shoes of the place we went to forever, until she retired and moved out of state. Next place after that was a disaster, so Im thrilled that they all look so happy. After we dropped them off, we went to breakfast around the corner. When we were finished, we came back and peeked in on them and they were all smiling and happy. It was so sweet. And when they were done, they all got to hang out together in a little cordoned off area, instead of being put in a cage, so none of them were stressed out. ❤️❤️❤️Green Paw Grooming in La Jolla village does an amazing job ?I had a video to go with this, but I cant figure out how to post it

UPDATE: I was contacted by Janelle the COO after this review. She offered for me to see Dr. Switsun who is the surgeon taking over Dr. Saltz patients that still needed follow up care. I decided to see Dr. Switsun to talk with him.Talking with Dr. Switsun and his nurse was really helpful. He actively listened and came up with ideas for my areas of concern.I want to say that my case has always been a not straight forward one and I do/did understand this. With that said, if I would have had the conversation I had with Dr. Switsun or been given the opportunity at my phone call at my 6 month mark to follow up with Dr. Switsun or whomever would be the follow up person to Dr. Saltz, I would have been happy enough to talk with that individual and not feel the need to write this review. With that being said, I felt much better after talking with Dr. Switsun and wish my experience had been more like that all along. I do recommend going into a consultation with Dr. Switsun - he is kind, listens actively and seems genuinely interested in you and what you are hoping for.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I had surgery with Dr. Saltz in June. I had decided to wait on doing a review until I had healed some and gotten over the initial excitement and actually experience the aftercare and healed results. My initial consultation was good. We discussed plenty and she answered my questions. Staff was nice and helpful. I scheduled. I wanted to get on the Vectra machine to help with sizing but it was down. I called back in prior to my appointment for surgery to once again try to do the Vectra and go over sizing again. Dr. Saltz and her nurse, Ruth, were unavailable for an appointment before my surgery so I went in with another staff member to go over sizing and discuss surgery. I felt pretty good about it but disappointed the imaging machine was still down and I had not been able to directly talk to someone on my surgical team about what my concern was.Day of surgery came. It was fine. Everything went well.Aftercare is definitely where you get forgotten about as a patient. Questions I had were ignored or half answered. I was scheduled for 1 follow up appointment in which Dr. Saltz mentioned symmastia to me. I had no idea what it was until I went home and googled it. She also mentioned she would not be there for my 6 month follow up. Once I went home and took the appointment in - that was really odd. I emailed her nurse, Ruth, follow up questions about symmastia and her not being there for a 6 month follow up appointment. I got largely ignored. She said she would talk to Dr. Saltz and get back to me. She never did. I decided to wait a bit since I was still pretty fresh from surgery. I am now close to my 6 month mark and called to LJCS and talked to my patient coordinator about coming in to see Dr. Saltz regarding my results and some concerns I had. She informed me that Dr. Saltz IS RETIRING. And her last surgery day was the following week. She offered me to come in the next day. Unfortunately I could not make that happen and I was pretty upset (crying) that I had not been given the chance for a follow up nor informed she was retiring in my recovery window. I even had asked her nurse specifically about her mentioning not being around at my 6 month mark. She was not very sympathetic and said she could try and get me in but Dr. Saltz had very limited availability. I asked what would she be able to do for me. She said refer me elsewhere. I opted to not try and schedule given the lack of empathy, communication or care for me as a patient after my surgery.I am for the most part happy with my results. I do feel like I need a pocket revision but it is not worth going back to be treated as they have. This review is for a doctor who will no longer be at this practice but I do feel there maybe a bigger issue in communication at this practice and I want future consumers to be aware and to advocate for yourself and make yourself heard. I decided to not “rock the boat” and “trust the process” to have no final aftercare appointment and my concerns ignored.
