Long story short:I got bored and reckless a couple of weeks ago, and ended up trying to bleach my hair with peroxide and baking soda. UHHHVV course, it turned orange.Had it gone teal, I might have rocked it for a while...anyway, I needed help if I was ever going to be able to take myself seriously again in a mirror.I spent some time researching salons in my area - Camarillo - and the reviews pointed me to Glamour. I reached out, left a message, and less than five minutes later I was scheduling my in-person consult with Yaretd via text. It gave me a good feeling, that they insisted on doing their due diligence, talking with me face-to-face, examining my hair type, condition, and scalp to screen for possible sensitivities; all so they can advise on the best - and healthiest - course of action for me. She also asked me to bring in some photos of what I was going for.Yaretd did all of that in my consultation. I could tell that she is very knowledgeable, measured, detail-oriented, and skilled in her craft. After taking my assessment, she offered some possibilities. I figured if the orange could come out, that Id try for the blonde I was originally going for.Upon hearing this, she didnt b.s. me: my hair had already been through a lot, and though it was possible bleaching it further could work, she couldnt advise going super strong on it. Too much could burn my hair and scalp. I opted to cross my fingers and proceed with the milder concentration of bleach (which she had told me beforehand could still leave some orange), and off to the shampoo bowl we went.I had requested a trim as well, so she did that first, and I loved it! She heard me, and knew exactly what I was going for. Yaretd was super meticulous as she mixed the bleach (she was weighing the components on a digital scale as she mixed them, which was pretty cool - again, to see how careful and skillful she was being with my hair and scalp), and the same as she applied it. There was no haphazardly slopping it all over; I could tell she had mapped my head and was taking it on in segments at a time.It definitely lightened it a lot - and really didnt burn at all, which was great. This time, though, it skewed yellow!My bad. Thats the breaks, kid. I took a shot, and I missed it. Cant win em al-- my acceptance of my circumstances was interrupted by Yaretd, who told me that if I didnt like it, I could notify her within seven days and get another try at it for free! Now, thats the real thing, people.Took me all of two hours to text her and request my do-over. Im a tall guy, so the yellow was making me feel more Big Bird than punk rock glory days. She scheduled another appointment a couple days out (had to let my feathers rest a bit first), which turned out to be just as cool as the first. I was going for dyeing it ash blonde (my natural color). However, Yaretd told me we could get the same result from using a toner, and with less stress on my hair. She explained that it is semi-permanent, but lasts many, many washes. Considering I only shampoo a couple times a week, thats months of color that wont further irritate my scalp the way a straight-up dye could.Over the next forty minutes, I learned even more about hair and haircare, and I saw Big Bird turn back into that handsome guy I knew before I got bored and reckless that fateful day a couple of weeks ago. It looks and feels like my hair againNext time I get bored with my hair, I think Ill call on Yaretd and Glamour Salon *before* I get to the point of recklessness.Blessings counted. Many thanks!

Just took my little schnoodle Frannie to Kate and OMG she looks adorable!!! Kate is so responsive, kind and did a FANTASTIC job. Took the time to sit with me and do a consult of what I was looking for. I told her I wanted my baby to “look cute” ( super helpful right?!?!). I said I will leave in your hands. She called me about 10 min later and discussed what she thought would be perfect and I said go for it. I am so glad I finally found a good groomer. It's has been a challenge. I live in Newbury Park and have been to a few in my area which gave me sloppy, choppy meh service at crazy prices. If you are on the fence look no further. Come to Kate! You won't be disappointed. My senior girl is actually smiling in her photo?

I highly recommend Plush Med Spa! Ive had such a positive experience there. The ladies working at Plush are so nice and Casey is the best. Ive seen her a few times for Botox and she does a fantastic job. I like how shes a little more on the conservative side when it comes to injections. She doesnt overdo it and she also doesnt upsell you, which I very much appreciate! Im the type of person who likes to look very natural, but I also like to stay looking youthful and refreshed. I can trust Caseys opinion, and I know that she will listen to me. If she doesnt think you need something, she will tell you, which is so refreshing. I think a lot of estheticians will try to convice you to get work done that you dont want, or theyll recommend something that doesnt work for your face. For example, I have eye bags and hollows under my eyes, and I was considering getting filler, but Casey advised against it, thinking that it might look unflattering. Her honesty and expertise keeps me coming back!

She takes care to make sure that you are comfortable offers you refreshment while you are waiting for her to inform your stylist that youve arrived. Shes a gem!Everyone here is friendly. Owners & stylist & manicurist, really just everyone.My stylist is Stacy McAuliffe. Stacy has been taking care of my hair for many years and I would never consider going to anyone else. Shes talented and always listens to what I want. Stacy will go out of her way to make sure that I leave there feeling beautiful and happy. Shes easygoing & funny and has a heart of gold. Honestly I cant say enough about her. Im proud to call her my stylist and my friend.I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Salon elle and of course Stacy!

I've been here twice, and on both times I was treated very poorly.During my first appointment I showed up in time for a gel mani/pedi ; before the sweet lady could work on my feet she was instructed to do someone else's first. I waited for 25 mins, but as I was about to make a complaint they quickly ushered me into the chair. It was not a good time and I should've recognized this place was not for me. As they treated me like an afterthought not really catering to me as a client.I went back the second time because I really liked the nail tech. He was late for the initial appointment and rescheduled it; I showed up to the reschedule appointment 5 mins later. As I walked into Y2K ; the owner began to scream at me for being late and shame me. I told her he was late too and that I will just leave. Once again I was quickly ushered to the chair and he worked on my nails.This place really only cares about money; good location and the decor is good. The staff is nice, but not really the owner ( she's brash and very rude ), so 2 Stars.

COVID-19 has not slowed down Thuy Wilson or her Spa! Beautiful, clean, professional, and very COVID ready. Checking temps at the door, floors marked for 6 ft distances, and VC Social Distancing Policy posted everywhere.Not only were all employees wearing masks, each station (and dryer station) was separated by a clear shower curtain on two sides. Thuy has prepared her salon well for reopening and I felt as secure as I could imagine. Delighted to get my hair colored and cut again.I would travel 100 miles to see my hairstylist, Eryn. (Despite the fact that I change my color at each visit, she has this uncanny ability to get the color perfect!). But I'm thrilled at the quality of Eryn's new location.Other salons won't wash or color your hair. (They tell you to come with your hair wet, get a cut, no style, definitely no color!) I'm so psyched to have found Image Resorts Spa & Salon.

Lots of convenient and money-stretching stores. I went over to Wal-Mart. Love to shop there, where I buy quality groceries at 90s prices. Quality meat and poultry etc, with different ranges in price. They even have prime meat, too - not the choice stuff that you typically find in most grocery stores. Theres also an awesome Target store there with a Starbucks inside, as well as a Ross, Verizon Wireless, three nice restaurants (including Lure and Applebees), a spa store and nail salon, a Staples, a brand new Michaels, Petco, Del Taco, Bevmo, Batteries +, Pier One, and a quality, discount jeweler. Just adjacent to a roadway that separates two plazas, is a Home Depot, Subway, The Eyeglass Factory, T-Mobile etc. Its a very convenient place to be, and I can get multiple things done on my list, while I save gas and my precious time.

Same place, same seasoning, more variety. Here you will find where you can eat delicious. The newly remodeled place is modern and cozy. You have large tables where you can eat and enjoy the excellent food. I like the price, it is reasonable. It is always very well served here just as you like that they pay attention when you order your food. It was worth seeing their new and modern restaurant.
