Long story short:I got bored and reckless a couple of weeks ago, and ended up trying to bleach my hair with peroxide and baking soda. UHHHVV course, it turned orange.Had it gone teal, I might have rocked it for a while...anyway, I needed help if I was ever going to be able to take myself seriously again in a mirror.I spent some time researching salons in my area - Camarillo - and the reviews pointed me to Glamour. I reached out, left a message, and less than five minutes later I was scheduling my in-person consult with Yaretd via text. It gave me a good feeling, that they insisted on doing their due diligence, talking with me face-to-face, examining my hair type, condition, and scalp to screen for possible sensitivities; all so they can advise on the best - and healthiest - course of action for me. She also asked me to bring in some photos of what I was going for.Yaretd did all of that in my consultation. I could tell that she is very knowledgeable, measured, detail-oriented, and skilled in her craft. After taking my assessment, she offered some possibilities. I figured if the orange could come out, that Id try for the blonde I was originally going for.Upon hearing this, she didnt b.s. me: my hair had already been through a lot, and though it was possible bleaching it further could work, she couldnt advise going super strong on it. Too much could burn my hair and scalp. I opted to cross my fingers and proceed with the milder concentration of bleach (which she had told me beforehand could still leave some orange), and off to the shampoo bowl we went.I had requested a trim as well, so she did that first, and I loved it! She heard me, and knew exactly what I was going for. Yaretd was super meticulous as she mixed the bleach (she was weighing the components on a digital scale as she mixed them, which was pretty cool - again, to see how careful and skillful she was being with my hair and scalp), and the same as she applied it. There was no haphazardly slopping it all over; I could tell she had mapped my head and was taking it on in segments at a time.It definitely lightened it a lot - and really didnt burn at all, which was great. This time, though, it skewed yellow!My bad. Thats the breaks, kid. I took a shot, and I missed it. Cant win em al-- my acceptance of my circumstances was interrupted by Yaretd, who told me that if I didnt like it, I could notify her within seven days and get another try at it for free! Now, thats the real thing, people.Took me all of two hours to text her and request my do-over. Im a tall guy, so the yellow was making me feel more Big Bird than punk rock glory days. She scheduled another appointment a couple days out (had to let my feathers rest a bit first), which turned out to be just as cool as the first. I was going for dyeing it ash blonde (my natural color). However, Yaretd told me we could get the same result from using a toner, and with less stress on my hair. She explained that it is semi-permanent, but lasts many, many washes. Considering I only shampoo a couple times a week, thats months of color that wont further irritate my scalp the way a straight-up dye could.Over the next forty minutes, I learned even more about hair and haircare, and I saw Big Bird turn back into that handsome guy I knew before I got bored and reckless that fateful day a couple of weeks ago. It looks and feels like my hair againNext time I get bored with my hair, I think Ill call on Yaretd and Glamour Salon *before* I get to the point of recklessness.Blessings counted. Many thanks!

Crystal!!! All I can say is my grand pup absolutely LOVES going to visit her. Our surprisingly anti-people doodle will jump out the car and head strait to the door from across the parking lot with so much excitement I can barely control him! Not sure what dog spell she has but hes SO eager to get in there for grooming, and when I pick him up hes sooooo handsome. We always get asked whos our groomer whether he gets a full body cut, or just a fluff & tidy.

I decided to give my granddaughter my 12 piece place settings of fine china for her wedding. The only problem was who could I trust to package it and wrap it safely so none of the dishes got chipped, or even worse, broken. I saw an advertisement in a local paper for Camarillo Mobile Gift Wrap and also read some excellent reviews. I called and spoke with Monica and somehow felt immediately reassured that the china would be in good hands.One of the best things is that Monica came to my home and picked up the china and also delivered it back to me after being wrapped. I had given her an idea of what I wanted and she texted me some photos of some wedding gifts she had just wrapped with a similar theme. I was hooked. They were gorgeous.I had told Monica I wanted the china wrapped in 4 boxes. The wrapping was exquisite and so creative. None of the boxes were the same but all of them tied in together. My daughter and granddaughter were thrilled with the way they looked. It was a pleasure working with Monica and I highly recommend her with no reservation whatsoever.

I spoke to the owner Gary who informed me that the original company I purchased from had closed and he was the new company's owner. I explained my situation with Gary and without hesitation he said... “let me come take a look at it”. Gary came out and agreed the sign should have lasted much longer then it did. He then said “no problem, even though we weren't the company that got paid to put up the sign, we're going to take care of it at no charge.”I can tell you as another small business owner, their willingness to stand up and help says a lot about the type of company they are. Just took my little schnoodle Frannie to Kate and OMG she looks adorable!!! Kate is so responsive, kind and did a FANTASTIC job. Took the time to sit with me and do a consult of what I was looking for. I told her I wanted my baby to “look cute” ( super helpful right?!?!). I said I will leave in your hands. She called me about 10 min later and discussed what she thought would be perfect and I said go for it. I am so glad I finally found a good groomer. It's has been a challenge. I live in Newbury Park and have been to a few in my area which gave me sloppy, choppy meh service at crazy prices. If you are on the fence look no further. Come to Kate! You won't be disappointed.
