Comment: Unfortunately this salon is run on poor communication which in turn results in poor use of time greatly affecting clients. I waited 45 minutes to be seen without any communication of a delay to my scheduled appointment. This is baffling as their automated system sends messages daily to remind clients of their upcoming appointment. And day of they send text messages to further remind you. Please do consider other professionals in the hair salon business who value their time as well as others. Verté Salon unfortunately you missed your mark on basic business foundational skills.Please do read through other reviews as this appears to be a theme.

Comment: EVERYTHING that I was hoping for! JC was so kind and so, so knowledgeable. She really took her time guiding me through options and answering all my questions. It was so nice to have a stylist that really listened and cared. Will 100% be returning here!I had previously went to a different salon with my virgin hair, and didn’t have a good experience. I’d wanted to go darker, but both times that I had my hair done there, the color was significantly faded within 3 weeks, even though I’d asked both times for something that would last. The second time, the stylist told me it was because my hair was porous.So, when I went to Vertè, I had the mindset of “hair coloring just doesn’t work for my hair, I can’t keep coloring my whole head of hair every 6 weeks”. That’s when JC came to the rescue with her explaining of processes, and I decided to give it another shot. 5 weeks in, and my hair is still just as dark as when JC colored it! Finally!

Comment: Are you kidding ! The “customer service“ receptionist was so rude and unprofessional. She laughed in my face when I told her I usually get highlights for 60 dollars compared to them trying to charge me 250 for their work. I called 6/12/2023 whoever was answering phones needs to get fired. She kept talking over me when I was asking questions and got upset when I called her a Karen bc she was trying not to allow me to cancel my appointment. If she wasn’t rude I definitely would’ve gone. I was looking for a salon closer to me so I wouldn’t have to drive 2 hours to where I typically go and I could find a stylist to grow with but this lady just set the mood for the whole place. Comment: JC is incredibly talented and has completely transformed my hair. I came in with very dry ends and dissatisfied with my hair health after a balayage. Through JC’s guidance, I got Pura Luxe and I am obsessed with how my hair dries now out of the shower. It still keeps it’s natural curl and body but is so much more moisturized and happy :)THANK YOU JC!! Can’t wait to get more services on my hair with her.

Comment: Wonderful experience. The salon has a cool location that is easy to get to no matter where you live in San Diego. My stylist was Jessie—so knowledgeable in her art and kindhearted. This was my first experience not only in this salon but also in vegan, nontoxic salon products. I will never go back. As a natural blonde, that unfortunately gets more brunette with age, I struggle with what bleach and heat do to my hair. These products let you go blonde but without the damage (crunchy texture and split ends). There is no strong odor during the process and it also doesn’t require heat processing which is great as I often struggle with eczema.I would recommend this salon to anyone, and already have! Happy to answer any questions in the comments.Overall….Come here for your next salon visit!Update 3/2023: been a client now for over 2 years. Won’t go anywhere else. This past visit Jessie was able to continue to amaze me with my color and cut. I have premature white hair—she can blend them in like nothing I’ve ever seen. Easily can go 4-5 months without touch ups or color. Amazing!!

Comment: I saw JC for tape in extension installation and removal; both appointments were great! JC is efficient and knowledgeable. I had my extensions taken out previously at a different salon in the neighborhood; it took almost 4 hours, and I had glue left in my hair that took multiple washes to get out. JC had my extensions (6 packs!) out in an hour and 20 minutes, with hardly any residue! Cant wait to book a color refresh with JC soon, shes the best!

Comment: I loved this salon back when it opened and with the old management but after my last visit Im left to go find a new salon. I scheduled an appointment online and called that same day to adjust and confirm a month ago. I wanted a trim and a scalp treatment a couple weeks before my wedding and my schedule has been hectic with all the planning and moving - thus why I planned ahead of time. Also coming out from Escondido takes my time too. And to get in the morning and no one is at the salon is a let down. Eventually one of the nail people there opened the door but she couldnt do much since she has her own client and appointments....Overall disappointed and sucked my time was wasted since there were other important errands I put off for this. And from what Ive heard Im not just a one off incident. This has happened to other clients.

I have been holding off on going but the salons policies made me feel very safe (waiver in the beginning, face masks on at all times, and hand sanitizer when you walk in). And it was so worth it! To start, its really easy to book an appointment online, the salon is gorgeous/staff is all friendly and the prices are very reasonable. For the haircut, Pam did an amazing job on my hair! Its the perfect cut and it feels really soft/healthy (my hair was really damaged beforehand). For being so nervous about going, she made me feel relaxed, comfortable and I left feeling flawless. Felt welcome the minute I stepped through the door through the atmosphere and environment they have styled to the customer oriented ethic of their staff. Pam was such a blessing to have for my first visit. She helped me do a full assessment of my hair and recommended and completed a scalp hydrating treatment that worked wonders! I immediately felt a change in my scalp with my hair feeling rejuvenated. And to top it off my cut was phenomenal and right on point with our consultation! I will definitely be back!!!

These being my first extensions ever, Leeanne took plenty of time to explain everything from maintenance to care and everything in between. My hair looks AMAZING, full, healthy, and natural (which was the look I was going for... nothing wrong with big changes but this time, I was going for an improved version of myself and that is exactly what I got). Its rare for me that a stylist just gets it. The salon is beautiful, I love the focus on eco-consciousness and sustainability, and the vibe was positive and friendly. Since I arrived a bit early, Kim offered me some tea while I waited. I got the Calming Mani-Pure with Stina and she did an excellent job. Even though I didnt get a nail art design, she showed me one of hers (a black cat) and it looked so good! I definitely want to get some art next time :) The guided meditation while you get your nails done sure is a treat! Super recommend, especially if youre looking for vegan and toxic free products!

I started seeing Leeanne almost two years ago when she was still in a small rented space in Salon Suites and I remember having the conversation with her to “just do it” and open a vegan/clean air salon because we had nothing like that in SD... yet. Now we are blessed with Eco Chic Salon!!. I love everything about this salon, the decor, the services, the lovely ladies, the products, and the green ethics. Comment: I went to Eco Chic for a haircut and a restorative treatment. The co owner of the salon, Leeanne, is incredible. She is so meticulous and really gives you a balance of what you want and what you need (because let’s be real, those two things don’t always line up). My hair was super dry and dead but she brought it back to 👏🏻LIFE 👏🏻with only taking a couple of inches off. The treatment I got has changed my hair’s texture (think horse hair to golden retriever fur). I will literally never go to any other salon for my hair. Not to mention this place is VEGAN like what???

Comment: Im obsessed with Eco Chic! I stumbled upon this little gem when I was looking for a toxic-free nail salon while pregnant. The vibe is super chill and the staff are all wonderfully sweet. There are no toxic smells that you would find in a normal hair/nail salon which is perfect for a pregnant lady to sit and relax while getting pampered. I ended up coming here three times, twice for nails and once for a haircut. Its a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for which is quality service with quality products. My painted nails lasted twice as long as they would have going to a cheap salon and I have a stylish mommy haircut which isnt so mommy (bonus, Leeanne is great with Asian hair!). I highly recommend this salon!

I switched from using acrylics to getting these gels as it’s done so much for my nails! It’s vegan, toxic-free, and best of all they don’t have that chemical smell when you walk in! I’m usually super eager to chop it off for simplicity sake but how she cuts it has allowed me to keep it long and gorgeous for such a long time. She makes my hair easy to maintain as a busy mom and always very simply explains the techniques or products she uses so I know how to replicate! Comment: Only Eco friendly salon in San Diego. Doesnt look like a regular salon. This is the definition of a spa. Spacious and homey. Not an assembly line type salon. You will feel a more personal service. Get pampered. Not rushed.

Comment: I am absolutely in love with this salon. I have been looking to take my hair from a simple brown to bright and colorful for a while. After hearing a rave review from another friend I decided to check out Eco Chic salon.I met with Teri to discuss my goals and my fears about doing something I had deemed drastic to my hair. She was so helpful and walked me through the entire process, how many appointments it would take, the product we would be using and care instructions. After that initial consult I booked right away. I have never had someone walk through a consult in such depth before!On the day of my appointment Teri explained exactly what we would be doing and did so with great detail. What I really loved about EcoChic was that rather than sitting in a regular hair salon station I was seated at a centralized comfortable table in the center of the room. I had shared with Teri that I wanted to get work done during the appointment so she set me up in at the table!I was offered beverages and constantly checked on by the studio owner and Teri. I have been to salons where they just put color in and leave you sitting under a hair dryer. That is NOT what this salon is about. They truly care about comfort and experience on top of creating amazing color and styles.As we removed the foil I was so nervous that my dark brown hair wouldnt lift to blond right away and my heart was set at ease when I saw the excited reactions from everyone in the salon.Not only did my brown hair lift incredibly well, I left the salon with a beautiful blond color as part of my stage 1 in the process of what we are working on. I attribute that to Teris professional;ism and knowledge on color processing.Our next step will be to take the hair platinum and then add some vivid color to create the unicorn hair look that I have been dreaming about for a while. I am so excited to update this review with the final look!Before i left that day we went over care instructions and products to use and avoid. Blond is new for me so I really appreciated this step in the process!If you are looking for a cute salon that understands color processing, styling and how to make you feel welcome... then you should book an appointment at EcoChic salon!

It was a great experience, VIP treatment, no chemical smell in the salon, she understood what I wanted and made my hair look amazing, gave me tips on how to make my hair look good when curly or straight, and what products are best for my hair type and how to use them.Will recommend to everyone :)
