The new awning arrived two weeks later and was absolutely perfect. Both the material and the installation. It is nice to deal with a company that values a perfect job as much as I do.

Comment: Arley Chavez of Van Nuys Awning was excellent in guiding us in replacing a sun sail at our house. We have two sun sails in our back yard installed by Van Nuys Awning about 10 years ago. We thought they both needed to be replaced because of wear, tear and dirt build up. Arley came to measure and give us a quote. He told us that one of the sun sails was in good shape and might be saved with professional cleaning. He gave us the number of a professional cleaning company, and it turned out that Arley was right. One of the two awnings were salvageable and he saved us a lot of money in the process.I truly appreciate Arleys honesty and guidance in this project. The entire process was smooth, and the result is excellent. I highly recommend Van Nuys Awning and Arley Chavez for his great work.

Comment: Working with Van Nuys Awning was a rare and superb experience.Today is it near impossible to find anyone to do anything “out of the box”.I had a challenge at my beach house to cover and open-top elevator cab.I have used Van Nuys Awning for years and they have always done a great job with anything they have done for me…commercially or in a residence.This little project was out of the ordinary for all of us.They so exceeded my expectations in every single way. While that is the way client service and work should go, it rarely happens nowadays...They conceived of the best solution and I am a VERY finicky designer and this was for my own home.They engineered how to best build the product.The materials and details were/are flawless. Almost like something excellent from another time …like a bonnet on an exquisite vintage automobile.I did not care about the timing because I wanted it done right and it was… worth every penny and then some.They were punctual, friendly, and smart, polite …all a rare find in this world. The quality is superb!I dont normally take time to write a review about peoples work however, in this case, I literally could not help myself! I appreciate how they handled everything!Few companies around like Van Nuys Awning in this world today. I think they have been in business for more than 100 years! He was thorough; checking the equipment to see if any repairs were needed and offered a top-of-the-line fabric in a choice of colors. He followed up promptly with an estimate and explained that there was about a five-week wait. The installers were there prior to the original time and Jesus and Henry did the job quickly and efficiently and there wasnt a scrap of anything left when they were done! We are VERY pleased with the result and the price was in line with one other estimate we received.THANKS to everyone!
