Comment: It sounds weird to say that I love seeing my dentist, but I do! Dr. Chris and his wife, Serena, are so sincere, caring, and dedicated to their craft that they have my complete trust. Furthermore, they allow you to watch Netflix during any operation (which makes any visit super relaxing) and their office is fully designed with Disney, which is super cool!Lifelong patient here, no regrets, and no going anywhere else. Comment: Giving this dentistry 5 stars is an understatement on how amazing my experience has been so far. Its been a pleasure and a gift to have met both Serena and Christopher. Some background about myself, I hadnt seen a dentist for the last 6 years. Due to some traumatic experiences when I was younger, I was scared and anxious about ever going to see another dentist. Before going here, I initially believed my teeth would rot to the gums before I stubbornly went to see the dentist. I voiced this to a coworker, who suggested Smile Moderne. As a Disney fan, with also a fear of dentists, they ensured me how my worries would be considered every step of the way. I decided to give this place a shot since Im paying for dental health insurance anyway. After arriving, my worries melting away fairly quickly by the warm and compassionate service Serena initially provided. Listening to my woes and assuring me that theyll do their best to help me feel comfortable every step of the way. When Christopher began to access the status of my teeth, he first began by starting a conversation about things I like, such as the Disney shows and the science behind different toothpaste. Even though the focus of our conversation was toward my teeth, I felt less stressed about the whole situation talking about other topics. During the assessment, Christopher was great about addressing every procedure performed, informing me about everything he was seeing, and also explaining in more detail about what he potentially saw and what that would mean for my future treatment plan. The transparency he provided gave me assurance about everything that was happening. At the end, they were able to draft up a treatment plan and encourage that my teeth could be good as new. I know it might not sound like much to most people, but as someone with crippling anxiety over the smallest things, it was reassuring to know I could worry about one less thing. If you feel just as anxious, nervous, and hesitant as I did before, I would highly suggest visiting this place!

Comment: Let me start by saying I hate going to the dentist. I have a small mouth and I cannot open very wide at all.. which usually isn’t a problem.. (I eat my sushi in two bites) but it is a problem at the dentist.. the last dentist I went to was well over ten years ago. I’m really embarrassed to say how long I went without going to the dentist. The last dentist was kind of rough with me she was annoyed that I couldn’t open wide. I really wasn’t trying to be difficult and if I could open wider I would. So I never went back .. it gives me anxiety, the thought of having to force my mouth to stay open .. then I get self conscious about it and start crying.. here I am a grown women with anxiety about the dentist. Also until recently I had very crooked teeth. As a kid I didn’t want braces. And my parents listened to me. (Yes I know I was a brat) as I got older the crowding got worse. I was always self conscious about my crooked smile. I finally made the decision to do something about it. I made an appointment for a consultation with an orthodontist and they said they could straighten my teeth with Invisalign. I was thrilled… but then came the questions.. which is what I was dreading .. they asked when the last time I had gone to the dentist was and that i would need to get any dental work done first. I began to cry because I was ashamed to share with them that I hadn’t been to the dentist in a very long time and that it gives me anxiety. The orthodontist suggested that I go see Dr. Chris/smile moderne. It’s also important to note that I was driving from Whittier to Irvine to be seen by the orthodontist. I would be driving further out to Laguna Nigel but smile moderne was spoken so highly of I agreed to make an appointment. From the moment you walk into their office Serena and Dr. Chris have a kindness and warmth that is so nice and genuine. Dr. Chris has you fill out a form where you can list any issues you have.. like if you don’t like drilling sounds.. seeing needles etc. and let me tell you he is very accommodating. Dr. Chris works and speaks in such a gentle way. I never felt judged for neglecting my teeth for so long. Instead I felt happy that Dr. Chris was going to help me achieve a healthy smile. Smile moderne was very up front with the dental work I needed done as well as coverage/pricing. Going to the dentist is still not my favorite but I’m happy to say that I’ve been going every six months for cleanings. I will definitely continue to do the 45 mile drive to be seen at smile moderne. It is so worth it. If you’re afraid of the dentist .. have a child who’s afraid .. even if you’re not afraid of the dentist smile moderne is awesome!

Comment: I recently moved to Orange County and was worried I wouldn’t find a Dentist that I was comfortable with since it took me a long time to find one that I liked in AZ. A lot of people are afraid of the dentist and that’s why they don’t go. If you are one of those people I 10/10 recommend checking out Smile Moderne for your next visit. Their office is not your typical dentist office, it is warm and inviting and welcoming, not stale and dull or scary. Dr. Auyong and Serena ensure you’re comfortable and you know 100% what is going on and what they are doing throughout the whole exam and cleaning process, they don’t just put tools in your mouth without you knowing what they are doing. Their cute office and bubbly personalities make it easy to sit back and relax and not be so tense in the chair. They are extremely gentle on your teeth and gums and truly care about their patients. I can’t wait to go back in June and I’m so happy I found them.

Comment: This place was recommended to me by my friends. The office is really cute and clean. Serena is the sweetest and is very helpful and knowledgeable. She was also patient with me while I was trying to figure out the new patient paperwork. When I first went to the office, it felt like I was being greeted by old friends. Dr. Chris is very courteous, and you can tell he prioritizes the patient, but is also knowledgeable. He did a great job of explaining what he was doing and different options. He is also incredibly detailed; he found and removed some leftover cement from my braces (which I had taken off nearly a decade ago!). I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the OC area! They are worth the drive, and they make me excited to go to the dentist! ;)

Comment: Most Magical dentist ever! You know you found the best dentist when your kids LOOK FORWARD to going to the dentist. Actually our whole family goes to see Dr. Chris and Serena at Smile Moderne. I love that their office is kid friendly and totally decorated in Disney decor.One thing that really made Smile Moderne stand out was their patient form. They ask you your preferred pronouns, if you have anxiety about going to the dentist, and any concerns you might have. Personally I have very sensitive ears and sometimes the sound of the cleaning tools is like nails on a chalkboard. Dr. Chris and Serena are always making sure I am comfortable and even let me watch my favorite Disney+ shows (because why would you watch anything else when you are at the Disney Dentist) with head phones to drown out the noise of the cleaning tools. Also if you do have anxiety they offer a cuddle buddy and I am 100% not ashamed to share that I have used a cuddle buddy at every single appointment.

Its perfect for me, I was so nervous b/c I havent been to the dentist since high school and finally got my own dental insurance this year. 1000% recommend!Serena is the warmest, friendliest, most patient soul I have ever met in a dentists/doctors office I love how they walked me through a breakdown of what to expect for my first visit, what will be covered under my insurance, time estimates, already preparing for my next 6 month cleaning, etc. Being able to go through their new patient forms and costs before the actual appointment date was chefs kiss, I love it. I get so worked up and anxious over being prepared for stuff and being able to have everything beforehand helped so much. We chatted about movies and she was so sweet, it was so reassuring.Dr. Chris is wonderful too! Any questions, whether about my own teeth or dental hygiene in general, were given equal consideration. I really appreciate his attention to detail and how he too was willing to walk through each step, ask for my opinion, and make sure I was comfortable the whole time.I am so relieved that there was no dental shaming at all! I remember going to the dentist before as a teen and them making little quips like could been flossing a bit more, but well, ate least youre here now or why dont you get whitening, your smile could be less yellow or oh that poor tooth. I was preparing myself for stuff like that or a $1000 bill, but it couldnt have gone smoother!Having the option of watching shows on the screen while they clean your teeth was super nice too, I always run around in my mind where should I look? What if I make eye contact? Is closing my eyes rude? Is avoiding eye contact more rude? And then having separate baskets for any purses or bags and your mask is so considerate.Seriously, Im recommending them to everyone I know, Smile Moderne thank you so so much! Dr. Chris was incredibly patient and caring, and so helpful with providing resources and tips/tricks for us to implement at home. He was able to do a full exam and cleaning without any tears from my toddler. She watched Disney+ from the exam chair while cuddling with a plush Baymax doll! Now she asks me when she gets to see Dr. Chris again when I help her with nightly flossing :)

Comment: I had the best possible experience at Smile Moderne! It was recommended to me by a friend and I couldnt be more pleased! I absolutely hate the dentist I dread it and have avoided going for years now but this appointment was completely unlike any dentist Id been to before. First the dentist and his fiancé run the business together and Serena is so fun and friendly the second you walk in the door she makes you feel completely at home as if you are old friends. She stayed with me the whole time until Dr.Chris came in the room and I ended up staying after the appointment to chat with her because she is just so kind and wonderful to talk with. Dr. Chris was also very kind super considerate of what he can do to help you feel the most comfortable and at ease. He spent a lot of time really going over all my x-rays with me and the products he recommended. The best part about this dentist office is the level of comfort they go above and beyond to make sure you feel as safe and comfortable as possible. They have the X-ray machines built into the cabinet on the wall so you never have to move from your chair once you get settled in there are Disney stuffed animals everywhere for kiddos to squeeze if they are feeling nervous and a great movable TV with all the streaming services and headphones so you can be distracted and catch up on all your favorites while Dr. Chris takes care of your teeth. They also only see one client at a time right now so I felt super safe removing my mask even during covid times. I love that they are totally up front about financial costs (which were so reasonable and way cheaper then my last dentist btw) they disclose everything in advance so you can make sure your comfortable with things ahead of time and there are no surprises or tricks. I live around 2 hours away from this office and am more then happy to make the drive back to them for all my dental care needs I cannot recommend this business or this couple enough they have taken the fear and anxiety out of dentist visits for me and that is no small feet, I actually cant wait to go back!

I have referred my family and friends to Smile Moderne. Yes they are far for me but honestly when you find a good dentist it is WORTH the drive. Serena is so good at explaining my Insurance coverage and how much I owe. So she makes sure I don’t have any money surprise any cost. Which I appreciate it because not a lot of offices will take the time to do that. Dr. Chris is super detailed and takes his time he doesn’t rush. And as a parent it great they see kids as well. So for me it’s a one stop for all of our dental visit. Which saves me a lot of time. My kids love Dr. Chris and his team. They make us feel like we are part of their family. And especially during COVID I appreciate that they don’t crowd up the reception room. Instead it is just me and my kids so I felt so safe. They really put patient first over profit. Comment: This dentist office truly is magical! With the kind staff and bits of Disney decor around the office its easy to forget that you are at the dentist office! I never really liked going to the dentist but that has now changed since coming to Smile Moderne! The staff is so kind and Dr. Chris is really good at making sure you are comfortable as he works on your teeth. I had to have a filling done and Dr. Chris and his assistant Brenda were so gentle I actually dozed off! They also have a TV in each room with Netflix and Disney+ on it so getting comfortable is real easy! If you are looking for a great family dentist look no further! This place is great for all ages!

Comment: Thought I was going to the dentist but actually stepped into a Parisian Cafe with a mix of tasteful Disney! The experience you gain from stepping into Smile Moderne is unlike any other. Serena makes you feel so taken care of. They use cruelty free, sustainable products which is amazing for my lifestyle, while also educating me on new practices, the growth in the dental industry and ingredients!!!I just hit that great age of 26 and dont have the luxury of being on my parents insurance anymore which really kept me from going to the dentist because I thought I wouldnt be able to afford it. But, after tooth pain, I was able to get in quickly at the office and Serena walked me through very genuinely about their membership plan which is actually much better than traditional insurance and actually makes sense! I felt so taken care of with Dr. Chris and his staff, he went over every detail with me taking his time and making sure I understood everything. My tooth pain was due to cavities, and all I could think about was how I was going to afford it, but again Serena did an amazing job walking me through several options making me feel very comfortable. Dr. Chris dental assistant did an amazing job with my cleaning, and continuously checking in on me to see how I was doing comfort wise.I am so excited to be part of their growing journey and to support Dr. Chris and his team. Laguna Niguel needs more places like this and im so happy to have them in the community! Did I mention I get to watch Hocus Pocus while getting a cleaning? Need I say more?Thank you all

Comment: WOW! What an amazing experience! Truly caring and compassionate oral healthcare. I was so delighted by the professional care but personal customer service. And the 21st century care is very up to date. The review with photos with compare and contrast with x-rays. Then let me tell you about the cleaning; the tools and level of care are on an other level. Comment: There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing this dentist office is. I once had a root canal done elsewhere and it wasn’t the greatest so it’s been YEARS since I’ve seen a dentist. Then I found this place. They don’t have a waiting room full of people. They’re never running 45 minutes behind schedule and especially with Covid and before Covid you’re the only patient there. Feel like a VIP experience without breaking the bank. They accept most insurance! The receptionist, Serena is always on the ball. She’s fast efficient and goes out of the way to make sure you feel comfortable. Dr. Chris is super knowledgeable and gentle. He is very sweet and even made a long lasting friendship with my autistic daughter who requests to go here. The dental assistant Brenda is always there to make you feel comfortable and surprisingly understands you when you have a mouth wide open. Can I also just say i love the decor of this office. It’s sophisticated and modern. Very clean, so clean that it shines! The pop of Disney decor isn’t cheesy, it’s subtle. Also, I dive 45 min to come to this office and as long as they’re around we aren’t going to any other dentist office

Comment: My husband and I have found the nicest dentist in OC (we have tried six other places previously). We felt like we just visited our friends even it actually was our routine preventative dental check-up at Smile Moderne (look whats inside their goodie bag shown in the images below).Dr. Chris is a thoughtful, knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate dentist who also has talent for interior design (he designed his office!). He genuinely cares about patients and educates patients about dental hygiene products and specific ingredients in them.The office manager, Serena, is definitely one of a kind communicator who prioritizes patients comfort over convenience and thrives for the highest transparency.She will go extra miles to make sure that the patients are getting the most and the best out of their insurance benefits and make their money (if its out of pocket) worth.The operation assistant, Brittany, is extra gentle, very quick in noticing any sign of discomfort, and observant while assisting Dr. Chris and Serena.We really like being in the office office space where we are treated with the greatest care even during the COVID-19 lockdown phase.We truly appreciate how they run their business and hope they will continue to strive for the longest time!!

Comment: When I tell you this is the best staff I’ve ever met I mean it. Serena at the front desk is so so sweet. I’ve never been somewhere and had someone at the front desk be as kind and as welcoming as her. I feel like I’ve known her for years and makes me feel so comfortable! Dr. Chris is just as nice and making sure you feel comfortable and explaining everything really well! Brenda is amazing as well! Super sweet and friendly, she’s also really good at explaining what she’s going to be doing and making sure you’re okay! I am blown away by this office! I hadn’t been to the dentist in awhile so I was really nervous going to a new office and just being at the dentist. But they made me feel so comfortable and less nervous. Comment: I cant believe I found Smile Moderne! I was in the market for a new dentist in my area and everything seemed too good to be true when I scheduled my appointment with Serena, the office manager. She was so personable and thorough, I felt like I knew her from like 10 years ago! Then, when I went in for my appointment this morning, my husband had to remind me that this was my first time meeting Dr. Chris and the team. The office is so clean and welcoming, modern and organized. Also the Disney themed decor makes this place a fun one for both kids and adults. As much as I enjoyed the small details of patient care and satisfaction that the team works very hard to provide and meet, I also feel confident in the knowledge and skills of Dr. Chris and his team. I found Smile Moderne through Dr. Chris’s Instagram account, but was finally encouraged to go after another Disney account I follow became a patient.I’m very glad I finally made the call and became a patient myself. I’ve avoided going to the dentist for years as I’ve not had great experiences in the past, but Smile Moderne made up for all those bad trips.When I arrived I was greeted by Serena who I had booked my appointment with. She is so nice and kind, I could talk to her for hours!Dr. Chris and his assistant Brenda both took great care of me. Dr. Chris explained everything to me very thoroughly and gave me great suggestions to help me with my oral care.During my whole time there I never had the bad feelings I usually associate with going to the dentist. As soon as you walk in, you are transported into a modern, Disney everything dentist office. Serena who greeted me at the front desk was the nicest and most welcoming ever, fun fact she is also Dr.Chris’s fiancé. What a cute family business. They offer refreshments, a complimentary comfort menu, freebies for new patients, and Disney plus while you are sitting in your chair! Not only do they offer all this, but they offer excellent hospitality and they genuinely care for their patients which was what made me want to keep on coming here. Dr.Chris was also great! He made sure that I knew what he was doing but also that I understood the condition of my teeth (he took pictures of my teeth and we went over each picture, how awesome!). Overall, best dentist experience ever!

Comment: My wife referred me here and this was the best experience! I forgot I was at a dental office. Everything was so clean and high technology. For cleaning I liked how I got to choose the type of polish flavor I wanted. They had strawberry, mint, bubble gum, raspberry, and some other flavor I forgot. But that was the first time I was ever offered any options! Everyone here is so nice they treated me like we were long time friends. I signed up for their dental membership which worked for me and my budget. I only need the 2 times cleanings. They don’t joke when they tell you to floss and brush, that’s how you can save money in the long run! If you’re looking for a honest and trustworthy dentist look no further. Every visit is like going to the movies since they offer Disney+ and refreshments for FREE!!! I always look forward to my visits at Smile Moderne. Also I come from Riverside so perks they’re open on a Saturday.

Comment: This is hands down the prettiest dental office i’ve ever been too! i found dr.chris on instagram and his office did not disappoint with my love for disney. he is very detailed in explaining all of my x-rays and was gentle when i received my fillings. i barely felt the needle to numb me. everything is so high tech here and they have Disney+, free snacks, and refreshments. i almost forgot i was at a dental office. dr.chris is the best dentist i’ve ever been to and i come all the eat from torrance area.making an appt is easy because you can book it right on your phone through their website, google, or their instagram page @smilemodernethe whole staff is friendly too! serena makes sure you understand your insurance coverage and what you have to pay. brenda is very gentle and makes sure you are comfortable when taking your x-rays or assisting dr. chris. i can feel they truly care about me.

But since just recently getting married and knowing that I wanted my pictures to look as best as possible, I finally decided to get a cleaning.I absolutely love Disney and happened to stumble upon Dr. Chris Disney IG account. When I saw that he was a dentist, I knew he was perfect! Although he is quite a bit away from me, it was worth the drive to see him.Setting up an account and making an appointment was so simple too. I love how their system is all online and you can even get text alerts reminding you about your appt as well. But I was completely blown away when I arrived at my appt. Their office was incredible! It was super modern, like their name implies, but most of all, it was so welcoming!Everyone there was amazing! Serena is the absolute sweetest and makes you feel like family, Brenda was super nice and helpful, and Dr. Chris is so knowledgeable and so attentive to detail. Comment: There are so many wonderful things I have to say about Smile Moderne I almost don’t know where to start! First, Dr. Chris is probably the best dentist you will EVER have. I honestly didn’t believe his pain free motto until I had to have a root canal done. I experienced ZERO NONE NADA NO pain whatsoever during or after the procedure. I can actually eat on the left side of my mouth for the first time in almost two years! Dr. Chris is always so considerate and thoughtful when it comes to his patients. It was clear that my comfort and care were his number 1 priorities.Second, Serena who runs the office is the BEST! She is so great about texting and calling and always always always so friendly and kind. Pretty sure I’ve been late to my last two appointments and I’m never made to feel like I’m inconveniencing them. Serena hugs everyone she sees and is so understanding about the the fact that I’m not only a single, working parent, but also the fact that all my children are special needs. I usually bring my middle son who is autistic (mostly because I want him to see that going to the dentist is fun and not scary whatsoever) and he has a BLAST with her! She lets him act like he’s running the office and sits him at the computer or uses the plastic bowling pins and bowls with him. He now LOVES going to the dentist! Oh and Brenda their dental assistant is fantastic! So gentle and so sweet with everyone. You can’t help, but love this team :)Third, the office itself is stunning! Dr. Chris is a big Disney buff like my children and I and the entire office is Disney!! Did I forget to mention the televisions that pull right up in front or above you to enjoy Netflix or Disney+ while you’re being worked on?! It’s like a spa, but for your teeth! The entire experience is magical and soothing from the moment you walk in until the moment you step out. To put into perspective just how much I love this dental office and the amazing Dr. Chris...I live in Orange and his office is in Laguna Niguel. It’s about a 30 min drive for me and worth every second. There are prob a slew of other offices closer to my residence, but I gladly brave the commute knowing I will be so well taken care of. Comment: Im someone who hasn’t been to the dentist in ages because nobody likes going to the dentist. But I had a pretty bad toothache and I knew I couldn’t put it off any longer. Turns out I needed a root canal. Anyways I always hear people saying it is so painful but honestly Dr. Chris is beyond gentle and I literally felt zero pain. That is how good he is! Thrilled to have found my forever dentist. And thanks to my friend for recommending Dr. Chris. He is worth the 1hr drive and his office is open on Saturdays which works with my schedule. Added bonus they have free refreshments in the waiting room and Netflix to watch when you get stuff done. This isn’t your average dental office it’s more of a spa experience!

Comment: What an amazing experience. I could not recommend this dental practice enough. Or rate them high enough. I am someone who had not gone to the dentist for over 6 years due to my phobia. From the first step inside this office I was relieved. The waiting area and check in area transported me back to a recent vacation memory of a sidewalk cafe in Paris! The huge bonjour sign instantly relaxes you. Dr Chris and his staff are kind, considerate and thoughtful and through. I almost felt like I was at a spa from their pampering touches and office amenities. They even have pillows and headphones to make you as comfortable as they possibly can. They are thoughtful to explain all they are doing and even take comprehensive photos of any problem areas so you can see clearly in color what problem areas you have. They also go through your x-rays with you so you know exactly what areas need attention. This is a first class comprehensive no rush dental office. I have to even refer to them as a dental office, it’s more like a dental spa. I can not wait to go back for my next cleaning and check up to be pampered by them again!. I can not say enough or rate them high enough in this review - you simply must experience this office yourself. I am now no longer afraid to see a dentist!!! Now that Im almost 70, Ive realized that I dont want dentures, so its time to take care of my teeth. Dr. Chris is very gentle and he is very detailed. I told him my concerns and he could accommodate me. I had root canals and wisdom teeth extractions. Im glad Im no longer in pain. Im looking forward to coming back as I still need to do some other treatments. So happy to have found my new dentist. My English is not very good either and Dr. Chris was able to explain my treatment in Mandarin so I could understand better. His office speaks 3 languages: French, Spanish and Mandarin. Comment: I personally was alway afraid of going to the dentist but Dr. Chris is super friendly and gentle. Take it from someone who is deathly afraid of needles, I didnt even feel the numbing being injected into my mouth. He graduated from USC, fight on go Trojans; therefore, I knew I was in great hands. And the office itself is super chic and modern, which matches the name! Love the subtle personal details that Dr. Chris incorporated into his office. Fun fact he is actually 4th generation of dentists! I recommend my friends to come here because it doesnt feel like a typical dental office. I mean honestly when you enter it literally feels like youre at the spa. You have French jazz playing, complimentary water (flat or sparkling), coffee, chapsticks, pens, a nice swag bag for first time patients. Then when you move to the actual dental chair you can watch Netflix with headphones, there is a blanket available if youre cold...honestly I can go on and on about how great this place is. And because they take my insurance double score! The staff is super friendly and Adriana, who is the front office manager, is very well knowledgeable cause I had questions about what procedures I can do with my insurance, she went above and beyond to take her time to explain it all to me. If you wonder where I found Dr. Chris is through his Disney Instagram account @disneydentist I am a fan of his photos super amazing! Seriously stop looking and just book your appointment you will NOT regret it trust me! Who doesnt like feeling pampered like a star with a beautiful smile to start your day.

Comment: Victoria had a great dental experience, she was relaxed, Dr. Auyong and his staff are great with kids, kid friendly office, has all the latest gadgets, Victoria enjoyed watching Moana while she had her cleaning...
