Comment: Stay here if you didnt plan ahead and need a room for the next night and everything else is booked. Otherwise stay somewhere else.Non Smoking rooms that smell heavily of cigarette smoke, rough sheets (bring your own if you can), noises outside at all hours.Its not the cheapest place in town, but it probably should be. At least its close.

Comment: Talk about an experience. Go at your own risk. Yes, this place used to be awesome, used to. The location is spectacular i must say but surely they turned it into a facade. The manager was even aware but wanted to make excuses when we know at the end of the day there is none. If we all took responsibility for our actions this post most likely would not be written, taken out of ones precious time, just for you reviewers. A business like this perhaps may not change but with the help of society they can then see were not here to to tolerate such nonsense when we know better. A refund is not asked but just a change of heart so maybe this place can regain its popularity for what it was actually known for, a place where one would call utopia. Lets not forget many businesses have closed down that one wouldnt even of imagined such as toys r us, and who didnt love toys as a kid and blockbuster, where one could enjoy grabbing a movie with the loved ones. Times change so hopefully this place can before its too late.

Comment: This place was rough. We used the toilet once and it flooded our bathroom, the AC flooded the front center of our room before we even got there and the whole place smelled like must. The AC never got cold despite running all night. The fridge was left open and the floor was soaked all around that area too. The whole thing smelled like piss and swamp.I cannot believe Priceline sent us here. There was security on site at night, the lobby was closed and I did see the workers asking homeless people to leave and the pool and hot tub looked nice although I didn’t get a chance to go in because of hours and checkout. I tried talking to someone at the front desk at check out and no one answered the phone, there was a sign up but the people around said they don’t know how long its already been up so I just slid my key under the towel they used to block the window. Also wifi is $6 if you want to use it

Comment: First things first, CUSTOMER SERVICE was 10/10. I checked in to a last minute room at midnight and got a great price for a two bed room. Most friendliest and helpful lady ever, love that! Seconds, once we got in our room it didn’t look bad, smell was a bit funky but not bad. Once we went in the restroom it looked clean besides the floor, there was some hair besides the tub which kinda threw us off. Everything else was good! Nice and decent, thank you so much to the lady that helped us, so sad I didn’t get her name, but I’ll definitely be coming back just because of her!!

Comment: Quiet location but close to plenty of fast food and chain options. Rooms are a little lacking when it comes to amenities. Our fridge was left open and didn’t work anyway which wasn’t a big deal. However, there are zero plugs next to our bed and the only plug we had was in the bathroom area. It looses a star due to the inability to charge phones next to the bed. That was a little odd to me. Overall rooms are clean and bed is comfy and that’s what’s important. People complained of smell but it smells fine. After a shower the carpets do feel a little damp from the steam so I prefer to keep my shoes on the carpet rather than my bare feet. Budget hotel that served a purpose! Pool looks clean and it’s a cute hotel set up with a courtyard situation. Wifi you have to pay for but didn’t need it since I only stayed the night. Hotel check out is at noon which I feel is pretty generous! No cockroaches or bed bugs either. Glad I stayed here to get a good nights rest. Not nearly as bad as the other reviews make it out to be!

Comment: We were denied a room.. As a Motel 6 mgr thru two 72yr olds out for being lil late due to a Medical Emergency. Husband had a heart issue . Mgr called him a liar. and said if youre sick. You. Better call an Ambulance. He did.. ER doctors said his blood pressure was elevated which caused a prob.w/ his Defibrillator . So, Motel 6 was called to Premier, telling your night mgr, Latino guy, to not rent us a room .We are in our car in this heat.. Your motel is full of cockroaches last we stayed. Comment: This hotel is a hidden gem and Im very satisfied with our stay here. The rooms are very clean and the house keepers do an amazing job. At the front desk Claude and Ricardo were extremely responsive and helpful. Whenever I needed anything Claude was more than happy to get it resolved. The people here are very kind and friendly. Its next to the freeway which places it close to everything, yet the noise from the cars is barely noticeable. I am looking forward to coming back and would definitely stay here again!

Comment: We got here at around 1230mn. We booked two rooms a week in advanced but was given to rooms that are far from each other. One of the rooms given to us, when we opend the door it seems like someone is doing construction. We were surprised that the receptionist didnt even know anything about it. The worst of all, it says on their page they have wifi but charges you for it! Ridiculous!!! They should have stated that. This is the first time that I have checked in to a place that charges you for internet. Even the receptionist said, I know its uncommon for a hotel/inn to charge for wifi.

Comment: Sometimes its the people that make the difference. When Claude takes a moment to get to know his guests, it really makes you feel like home and that he can meet the needs you have. Claude made my experience this week over and above my expectation. I watched him help a lady who was going to be homeless with a baby getting her she needed. I watched a gentleman get towels but Ive never seen. So happy. Claude makes and exceptional service at what would otherwise be a two-star motel.

Comment: The rooms are clean and the staff is nice. However, its in a location that you would assume has little to no sketchy people but its deceiving. The local homeless and tweakers hang out in the parking lot with thier motor homes and seem to be more active outdoors at night. I wouldnt say that your unsafe necessarily, but I wouldnt go out to my car at night alone. The hotel itself is conveniently located across the way from an amazing hole in the wall Mexican restaurant and if you finding yourself between homes, there is quiet literally a storage facility across the street. I would rate it a B+. Its right off the freeway, clean and efficient. Its also reasonably priced.

Comment: If you are a business owner DO NOT book a room at this hotel for any of your employees. I booked a room at this location for a employee who I flew in from Arizona. Pre paid for the room on Hotels.com. I also put my employees name on the reservation as I have done a hundred times before at other hotels around the country. When my employee arrived onsite the manager would not allow him to check in because his name was not the name on my business credit card. I talked to the manager, explained that I prepaid for this room on Hotels.com the manager still would not allow my employee to stay, it was 10:30pm, we had to find another room, they didn’t issue a refund of my charges. On top of that I was charged a $89 fee for late cancelation. I did not cancel the room, the hotel would not allow my employee to stay. I find this service to be absolutely in excusable, especially since they had my reservation for over a week and didn’t discuss this I know writing or otherwise until checkin.

Comment: Debbie the Manager is very hard working! And she gets things done and she doesnt mess around. Shes very kind and helpful and understanding. Shes a tough cookie and she has a heart of gold. She has a great,polite and hard working crew. They have been very helpful as well. The premier motel has problems just like every motel in California. I see my share of drama and craziness around here. Funny and not funny drama mostly couples fighting and drinking alcohol and drugs are in elnvod. Otherwise its clean and most everyone staying here because of the pandemic. Including myself I have been here for 3 months and everyone has to be out sept 2. Thanks Manager Debbie. Comment: Disgusting place with horrible management and terrible staff. House cleaning stole all of my belongings- my clothes, dog food, down to even my tooth brush went missing. I reported this immediately and was told management would call me - I waited and they didn’t so I went ahead and called - they said my room was never touched, no one ever entered it and I must have misplaced my things. I said no, my room was in fact cleaned, the bed was made, new towels, new soap etc. He speaks to house cleaning again and they reassure my room was never cleaned. I ask him to check the cameras and suddenly house keeping DID IN FACT enter my room but he assures no one would take my belongings and someone else must have broken in and took them. I told him they’ve now lied to me multiple times about whether anyone entered my room or not and treated me like I’m a liar reassuring it WAS cleaned and wanted a refund for my stay. He says no and HANGS UP ON ME. So I contacted corporate and will be filing a police report. This place also has bugs so overall horrible experience the only thing good about it is it’s right next to the freeway so you can hop in your car, get on the freeway and stay somewhere else!

But the pool/spa was extremely dirty with pieces of the stairs that got chipped of just floating there with dead bugs, bees and a lot more. Comment: My husband and I had a bad plumbing issue and had to get a room for the night........1950 called they want their motel room back! Im not really sure how but the room was actually humid. There was a queen bed for me my husband and our large dog. The furniture looks like patio furniture, the dresser, drawer, has been modified as it used to be a 2 drawer and 1 of them, the lower is now nailed closed. The bed whenever we moved sounded like it was going to fall apart. I got a hot shower 🚿 and a little down time but would not ever stay here again. Its okay to not be ultra modern. Its not okay to be dirty, unkept and in need of basic care.

My boyfriend and I got to experience bed bugs for the first time in our lives after not only now being covered from our arms to our feet in 20+ extremely itchy red bites (I got the bulk of them) but we left immediately after we actually found said bug walking on our pillows as we tried to get ready for bed.Recommend: Pest control, and if you’re willing to take the risk, invest in hydrocortisone cream, you’ll need it.

All the hotels in the surrounding area were booked and theyve been the only choice. A bad one. Comment: Booked a non-smoking room in Premier Inns well ahead. When arrived around 10pm they gave us smoker room. We were traveling with two kids, one with asthma. Even adults had troubles breathing in their smokers room, it was so bad. Of course no non-smoking rooms were available, so we got stranded without a room in the middle of nowhere. Want to add to this, that check-in experience was horrible. They closed lobby for some reason (thieves around?) and were talking to everyone through the tiny window. It was 20 min long check-in, probably the longest I ever had. No instructions how to find your room. Oh, and beware, that all motels in that area used to ask for official ID for each adult in party. Only in Newbury Park. So if one of guests has no ID for some reason, youll have to drive further

Walked in to the manager and customer fighting in the lobby like two children, so unprofessional. The stairs that lead up to my room were broken, so i had to walk to the next stairs which seemed a mile away. which really sucks when you have luggage to carry. not to mention the second stairway was halfway broken through, i just kept wondering where the heck i ended up. Comment: Can’t beat the low prices especially if you just need a place to crash for one night. I’ve stayed here twice both two months in between. The lobby is located on the left right when you turn into the hotel entrance. On my second stay, I had checked in around 11 pm the door to the main lobby is locked (safety reasons), so they have window you check in at instead (kind of reminds me of a jail visit where you pick up the phone and talk to the person on the other side through it). The rooms are okay, clean, and outdated. There’s no iron or blow dryer which was a problem for me on my first stay(when I needed a blow drier) and on my second stay (when I needed an iron). You get what you pay for though, nothing too fancy. My only main concern is the lack of deadbolt locks above the door handles. These are truly what I like to have in my hotel rooms, so I literally stacked checkers in front of the door (I know I’m super paranoid). Overall, the rooms were accommodating. There’s a pool at the center of the buildings but I’ve never swam in it. There’s adequate amount of parking spaces with a security guard onsite at night which is nice.

Comment: Working in Simi Valley over Mothers Day weekend found a decent price at the Premier Inn Thousand Oaks Newbury Park Im giving this hotel 1 Star because the bed was sleepable other than that we had to go to Walmart first to buy Lysol the first two rooms we looked at were terrible one of them only had a full size bed for two people and the lights did not work in the bathroom or the vanity mirror the room we did finally accept because we had worked all day and were very tired and didnt want to go look for another room was supposed to be a non-smoking room but had cigarette Burns on the blankets the room smelled bad and the door handle kept falling off on the inside very hard to get out other than that there were several characters all around the second floor looking down at the pool area all of them drinking beer. Very loud definitely not a great place to bring your family with kids I guess you get what you pay for it when you get a room for $75 a night the guy at the front desk was very helpful did his best to make us happy its not his fault the Premier Inn is in the shape that it is definitely will never stay there again

Comment: Actually I was there visiting family and the was the happened was enough for my door very loudly and rude by the staff on board is gentleman up dust feeling called my room to tell me I over slept nice day and once I open the door he said I can renew my room . Instead I cannot is it take me a few minutes to get my things then he said he saw blood everywhere that I was beat up-and-over whats really where in the call the cops on me so they have to take me in just to check if I was really beat up a hurt. On the other hand they stole all my stuff this set it all up still all my self the false accusation the blood was nowhere to be found I want to see those bloody towels they said that was out for my door never seen nothing. They totally setting up because this I had a lot of nice things and then my room and they want my body washed even my sex toys They took all of app and dirty at thieves and I cant bear Im coming with the cops this week watch me. Back for the June majesty to myself she wont even talk to me that she know she stole all my stuff. Show manages very rude she hung up the phone on me to she has nothing Cant afford to buy next thing so they took minds so they set me up to still on my stuff . Shame.

Comment: It was a place to sleep, thats about it. For starters, there isnt free wifi, you have to pay for it which seems crazy. The rooms themselves are rather outdated and small. The garbage cans outside were all full and had dozens of cockroaches crawling around (none inside, fortunately, but was paranoid the entire night). The pool and hot tub seemed nice. There was quite a bit of parking as well. Just dont have high expectations.

Comment: I arrived there to find a message on their office door the Hotels pool has no water in it. In the room itself there not a single mains plug in point next to the bed or at the table either. So, I tried to plug phones charger at spare mains socket behind the TV, but it kept falling out and TVs mains plug was barely hanging in the other one.Also, I found the bathrooms door almost completely hanging off due to the screws that hold it together were almost completely undone.Their TV can only find analogue TV channels except thats a bit fuzzy too.Their decor looks like it hadnt changed since the 80s, but those mains plug points look like they can from the 60s or 70s being so old fashioned looking. This place is very inferior overall compared to other Premier Inns Ive stayed at.My advice only choose this one as your last resort otherwise go elsewhere.

Comment: If you just need a place to sleep and shower, this is the best choice. I would have given 5 stars, but the ONE ice machine available broke down during my 4 night stay, and the television remote was not functioning well (read: low on battery power?). Yes, during the holidays there is a boisterous group of people late at night, but it settles down. If you do not want housekeeping in your room, you need to call Front Desk once a day, as this establishment does not provide those special door tag notifiers.The room was clean and the staff was accommodating. There is a mini-fridge in the room, but if you need a hairdryer, bring your own.Some people may consider this place somewhat rustic, but that does NOT mean that you can be rude to the staff. You will be treated properly if you are respectful. I would choose to stay here again.

Comment: This is DEFINITELY the hotel to stay at. If you have your AAA membership it saves you like $7 and its better quality than the ghetto spot down the street which also costs more. The rooms are really nice and they all have TVs with a bunch of channels. I would 100% recommend anyone coming to Thousand Oaks/Newbury Park, even Westlake to try this hotel out. You wont be disappointed.

Not only were we locked out of our paid room with all of our stuff last night until 3 a.m. but maintenance wouldnt have been available until the morning. There were drug addicts legitimately hiding behind the machines in the snack room so be careful if you go down there. The woman managing this establishment has an appalling attitude, refused to take responsibility for the hotels mistakes, and cost us our only day off as we have to wait for the police to arrive. The rooms are equipped with ancient TVs and I was sneezing for about twenty minutes because clearly, this place is not taken care of or managed properly. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The police have to make a hourly drive thru the parking lot. I spoke to the police and they told me they make alot of arrests there, they call it the Crack Motel. The police also said the management actually gives the police a daily list of all guest IDs so they can run checks on everyone.

I left my room during the day and when I returned to my room one of my beers was missing. It was obviously stolen by either the maid or the maintenance man. DRUG DEALERS, WANTED FELONS AND PROSTITUTES STAY HERE! When I complained about the theft of my beer to the property owners they placed me on the do not rent list. I had no idea they had done this. 2 years LATER I called and reserved a room early in the day over the phone the owners told me that they only had smoking rooms available and there was no non-smoking rooms available. I reserved a room under my name and address and hired a cab driver to drive me there. I entered the lobby and showed the owner my ID card ad and it was at this point they refused to rent me a room, I was SUFFERING FROM HEAT EXHAUSTION IT WAS VERY HOT AND HUMID. I asked them to call me a cab, AND THESE EVIL MUSLIMS REFUSED!

When I approach management about it I was polite and was immediately shut down with a very nasty attitude and with no remorse this is not the place to stay if you have anything valuable. The smell of drugs along with the class of people and the uncleanliness of the pool and the broken hot tub, was enough alone to cancel my reservation. First room had a bad case of mold and the shower head spewed out water all over the bathroom causing a flood whenever you showered. Second room was a smoking room since all the non smoking rooms were sold out. The smell was soo nauseating. Second night went to a non smoking room that had a horrific smell that came out the vents everytime you turned on the heat. The smell was soo bad my entire car wreaked from my bag that was in the room with me. Had to re- wash all my things and my bag to get rid of the smell. Stayed nauseous for 3days after I left just couldnt get that stench out of my nostrils. Next time Ill go to the motel 6 and spend the extra couple of dollars.

Maid staff are Hispanic and pretty much arent friendly and speaka no englashee. Except you walk in and they are talking straight english to the boss in perfectly formed sentences. The front staff are friendly and will help. Vending machines are inexpemsive. The grounds. While there was some litter... we just had a storm... but the grounds are a nice walk around and actually are pretty. I gave it a 4 for pet friendly value. And the best Mexican little tienda market and bakery in the same parking lot. If renovated this place would be a hidden gem. Woulf stay here again but know not to expext perfection. And yes clientele here can be interesting to watch. You can only stay 28 days. But for free you have fridge and the towels are clean bed was ok. And overall great for the price. Beats the hell out of sleeping in car with cats on a cold night.

Because of the lateness of the night we tried to make it work. After just a few minutes, I went out to the cab of our small truck and slept there. My husband opened the door and put the chair there and tried to sleep sitting up. Morning went straight to office and was given phone number for manager if we had a complaint. Two days later after 3 calls finally transferred to manager. She said she would go and check room and call me right back. Two days later I finally called her back and she said she checked room and it was one of there best rooms. There were stains all over the carpet, it was disgusting. I stay in a lot of hotels in that price range and never have been rented a room like that. Motel6 and red roof dont even compare as I stay in them quite often. Also no hair dryers. Hard to explain how terrible this hotel even is. Do not go!!!

First and foremost, you have to understand the past history of this place to understand its present day status. With respect to the past reviews prior to the new manager, I would have to concur. This place was a disaster worthy of Federal assistance. The past is the past and it should be left their. Today, You will find a tight running ship, so to speak. The new General Manager, Is Mike Tyson, Judge Judy, Prison Warden and Princess Leia rolled up into one lean mean fighting machine, a no nonsense in your face Manager. Shes the best thing that has happened here in years.Some will say she is rude, I say she is firm in here quest to clean up this place. Some will say she is unreasonable, she is, if you are a paranoid meth-smoking cracked out spun out of control, havent showered since you were released from jail Christmas day,tweaker. She patrols the grounds better then the Secret Service does at the White House. She isnt afraid to walk up to you or bang on your door and tell you, get the hell out of my motel now. Is this place safe? YES, because she has almost single-handed cleaned it up. WARNING: You can NOT party here, do your drugs, work on your car, sell your drugs, girlfriend or recently acquired electronics. The Police often sit in their cars at night in the parking lots and talk to people who drive thru or walk around aimlessly. I have seen many put in the back seat and taken away, I am sure they didnt give them a ride home.With all this being said, I must say this has become a very good place to stay. The manager, Julie is a very fair and honest women, if you have a complaint, she will make sure it is resolved, I have seen this personally. Every time Ive seen her walk the grounds she always stops and talks to guest, shes always smiling, and approachable, true signs she cares about her guest. The entire staff are very friendly, and it is my opinion, the graveyard front desk clerk, is another no nonsense goe-tee wearing pit bull without a leash. He patrols the grounds during the night, barks at people who dont belong here, bites them if they dont leave right then and there. I feel safe with him here, and I know if I have a problem, hes is on top of it before I can put the phone down. He is a real assets to this Company. Corporate should be watching him before someone steals him from here, hes that good at his job.I will end by saying this, The Manager doesnt know who I am by name, nor does the night clerk, I am writing this in response to the negative comments posted. No one asked me to make this review, I did so because I felt it important that future customers should give this motel a chance, The Manager and staff are very friendly, respect and honesty works best here. Comment: Warning!!!! This place is horrible. We reserved online, when we arrived we were assigned a room the was infested with baby roaches, the bed wasnt even made, the room stunk and was dirty. We were given another room to stay in, there was hair in the bed, the tub was filthy, the room and bed smelled like urine. while watching TV a bug crawled on my daughter. It was around midnight, we had already switched rooms so we had no choice but to stay. We slept on top of the comforter and tolerated the smell.The next morning we asked if there was a microwave we could use, and was told we could use the one in the vending room. The microwave had old crusted food on the glass plate. I had to put a wash cloth on it just so I could put my plate and food in to heat it.Just before checking out we had asked housekeeping for a bag to put clothes in the housekeeper was rude and told us she wouldnt give us one and to go to the lobby and ask them for one.When I went to the lobby to check out, I asked for the manager who wasnt available at first, I explained the to front desk clerk everything that had happened, and she said the manager wasnt avail. During the time I was talking to the clerk there were 2 housekeepers in the lobby making snide comments. The clerk called the manager back out again, as I told her I could not wait I was checking out. the manager came out and apologized stating she was making a salad.I took her to both the rooms, but the first room had been cleaned by the housekeeper, the only sign of roaches was a dead one in the tub. The manager and the maintenance guy were sarcastic and said one isnt an infestation. It was day and the bugs were gone. I told them the housekeeper cleaned the room as it didnt look anything like when we arrived. We went into the room I was in and I showed her the blood spot on the pillow case, the dirty bed, and I got attitude by the maintenance man stating I was just not happy in any room, and they switched me several times. I then took the manager to the vending room, to show her the microwave, but when I got there it was clean. I told her that the housekeepers had to have cleaned them,. and she stated why would they leave it dirty, I told her that there were 2 housekeepers in the lobby and they had to have cleaned the microwave, she argued and said there was not housekeepers in the lobby. But there was indeed 2 housekeepers. I asked her why would I lie, and she stated well were giving you your money back so it doesnt matter, it did matter, and in the trash can was the wash cloth I used in the microwave, and another filthy one with food all over it. I showed it to the manager, and she stated why would they throw the wash cloths away. We never got a bag for the clothes, and still I have not seen a refund on my account. This place is horrible, and the over all experience was horrific. Dont stay here not even if its the only motel with a room in the area.

Comment: This place sucks.Ok so I stayed at many hotels and even in the expensive Bay Area for $50 a night you get a decent hotel with FREE internet, free breakfast, microwave in the room,...etc.At Primer Inns in Thousands Oaks, for $50 a night you get a room that smells, no breakfast, no free internet (you have to pay $4.99 a night if you want it), no coffee maker or microwave in your room, not even Dont disturb sign that you can put on the door so the maids dont keep knocking on your door when youre still sleeping. Not only that but people walking by your room talking at all hours, people smoking outside your room,...etc.My friend electronic key didnt work. Finally the maintenance man removed the lock to fix/replace it and left her door open and unlocked while he went to get something (this is when my friend was away from her room) and all her stuff were there and anyone could have taken it.There is not a single hotel or motel I stayed in anywhere that does not provide free wireless internet.Add to that the low class characters staying at this place.This place is NOT worth the money. It is a total rip off for the money.

Comment: Very cheap hotel. Booked on priceline for 1 night. But not worth 2 stars as many sites claim; only 1 star. Room we stayed in (#147) had leaking and dripping showerhead/shower faucet, which was already dripping prior to us arriving. The fan in the bathroom is barely functional. The room had the smell like an old closet. The only great facet of this place was the lady staff (Heidi, Id give her 5 stars) who worked fairly with our concerns; if we were to stay again the main driving force to do so would be her. Also, if these room issues were addressed, I definitely would be more inclined to stay again; otherwise, definitely not a recommendation.

Comment: Priceline says this is a 2 star hotel my wife and i have stayed at plenty of 2 star hotels. This is not a 2 star hotel period. First we get are key and told what room we go there parking is a pain at this hotel key card will not work go back to main desk and instead of a new card we get a new room because she could not figure out what problem was okay. Now on first floor instead of second have to walk past room were 3 or 4 gentlemen are hanging out with door open and fan going trying to get rid of marijuana smell. Room was okay bed had rips on the side and the sheets had stains bed was okay so put our sheets on them a okay slept and got going in morning . 1 star hotel at best maybe even 1/2 star very definitelynot a 2 star

Comment: Last year we stayed here and we liked it, very peaceful, big beds, and clean. We have dogs and we love that they are dog friendly. I dont know why the bad reviews we came back this year and I didnt see any drug use or prostitution. We checked in about 11 pm. Our neighbors next door did woke us up at 6am cus they were up and going. However, it was not the motels fault. The guys were getting ready for work.

Comment: This place is disgusting! It had nasty carpet that smelled like human and animal pee. Please remodel and update these rooms. I should have just slept in my car. I dont know how this place even has 3 stars. The lady at the desk was nice though.
