Comment: Place has gone through new owners and doesn’t seem to have their business in order. First time we tried the new owners they had our pup for almost 6 hours and in a kennel, previous owners were a cage free establishment. Second visit, the online booking said to drop off between 7-8am and we arrived at 7:30 to a paper sign that said new hours 8am they’d open, so we waited till 8:10am and no one came to open the store.

Comment: Weve been coming here regularly since I got my dog 2 1/2 years ago. Have been here twice since new management and I will continue to, as they do an excellent job. Today was $160 (not including tip, paid in cash) for a trim and de-shed for a 90 lb great pyrenees. When the Prancing Puppy first shut down, I was in a tight spot because many other places didnt take large dogs or they quoted me upwards of $400. (My dog suffered some unfortunate looking home haircuts in the interrim.) Very glad they reopened. They do an excellent job at a great price. He looks tidy, smells clean, and is so happy!

Comment: New ownership is efficient, friendly, reasonably priced with up front add on services. My doodle looked great and was happy when I picked him up. The groomers are so caring, they even checked and removed a tick from my dogs ear during the grooming session!(My fault for taking him hiking with all the flowers and bushes in full bloom). We are happy this groomer stayed open in Newbury Park. Highly recommend.

Comment: Super sweet and gentle staff! My maltipoo was pretty matted, and now he looks like a brand new handsome dog.They talked him through the whole process so he felt safe and calm.We will definitely be back!

Comment: I have taking my 2 Yorkies to Prancing Puppy for about 2 years now. I decided to give the new owners a chance and I am happy I did. They do a good job with both of my puppies and the haircuts are always done in a very timely manner. Usually 90 minutes for both and when they are done, I always get my text message for pick up. Comment: We take both of our medium Goldendoodles here! We drop them off together, it takes maybe 3 hours (they are super quick), and we pick them up all fresh and clean. We love the cuts and it’s conveniently close to our house. Super easy to schedule online and they are very affordable! All the staff are friendly and they take good care of the pups. 5 stars and we recommend The Prancing Puppy to anyone who asks😁

Comment: DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. They are under new ownership and they kept my sisters dog for 8+ hours without water or an opportunity to go to the bathroom, and charged DOUBLE what the previous owners charged. He was locked up in a crate howling when she went to pick him up. Once they got home, her dog was feverish to go outside and he gulped down 3 bowls of water. When they questioned the owner, they got a list of excuses. These people have no business caring for dogs.

Comment: If youre taking your dog to a groomer, youre likely a good pet owner. If you care for your pet, I would not recommend taking them here.They kept my dog for 8+ hours and did not give him water or a chance to go outside to relieve himself.They recently changed ownership (old ownership was great) and are still very much working out the kinks of their operation. When I explained to them what happened, they said, so sorry.. we were short staffed.

Beware!!!0 stars is the review but that’s not allowed here so they get a 1 star bump.They kept my dog locked away all day and did not give a timely call to come pick him up.The new owners are obviously overwhelmed and have never run a business like this. Best to avoid at all costs.

Comment: They did a wonderful job on my Penny. Dogs roam free, Penny loved that. Very unfortunate this business closed down last month. All the employees were great, sad to see them go. Was told there will be a new business owner in a month or so who will also be doing dog grooming. Looking forward to that!

Comment: My fur baby, Gigi (chocolate standard poodle) is a bit skittish when it comes to any kind of grooming. Prancing Puppy seems to have the magic touch as she goes with minimal fuss. Brittany made setting up her appointment quick and easy. I highly recommend them if you live in the Thousand Oaks area! 👍👍

Comment: I took my white German Shepherd here to get groomed.He was almost beige when I took him in.He’s very anti social, and we were worried about leaving him.2 hours later, he came back cleaner than white on rice.They gave him a cute bib on his way out, and he was smiling like there was no tomorrow.Love this place!

Comment: The staff here are out of this world!My dog has had no shortage of grooming staff over the years (he has a bit of a hot temper, to say the least), but something about the environment and groomers here relax him more than Ive ever seen outside of the houseThe staff here go the extra mile in everything they do and are extremely knowledgeable about all things canine. Comment: Amazing experience. My dog (70lbs+) isnt the easiest to handle but Misty (groomer) did a fantastic job. The place is clean, the services are straightforward (no hidden fees). My favorite part of this location is the double gate when first entering. Its simple, its smart and allows easy in and out of the dogs. I will be booking again
