Comment: Before you book at this place—please see all negative reviews where the owner writes a lengthy response blaming the dog owners for any and all wrongdoing. Not taking any accountability in any instance is a HUGE red flag; dangerous for business but even more dangerous for pets.I brought my dog in for a traditional bath just a few days ago. I was told it would it would take 2 hours, but received a call approx 35 minutes later that she was done. I thought that was strange but didn’t question it at the time. After looking her over, her ears are still filthy-clearly were not cleaned (see pic, that is from only one ear), and I don’t think her teeth were brushed either. This isnt acceptable if youre gonna charge $80 for a 30 minute service that is supposed to be 2 hours and be more thorough. It is already traumatizing enough to bring her in, so I requested a partial refund for this service. When the salon called me, not only were my claims discredited, I was told my only option was to bring her in for a re-do, or get 20% off a future service, but I wouldn’t be able to book with them again because “we can’t keep doing this”. It was only our second time there and our very first complaint. What a speedy way to lose a customer! Take your pets to Petco groomers: much more affordable, great customer service, and they actually do the service that they advertise.

Comment: WARNING: Do not trust this establishment with your pet. They are in the wrong business. Youre better off going to a reputable salon or self-pet wash. We had to get our 8 y.o. lab mix dog Bella treated by our longtime Veterinarian at Monarch Vet for multiple wounds and bruises after improper treatment during what should have been a simple bath and shedding treatment on 12/23/23 by PJ Noah Pet Salon on Crown Valley/Greenfield in Laguna Niguel. According to our Vet and Vet Technician, our dog has bruises on her hips, legs, along her spine and is covered with cuts on top of her head and along her spine. Our dog is on an antibiotic and pain medicine - we have a bill for over $300.00 as a result. The Owner of this Salon was completely rude and dismissive when I called to discuss. We are completely shocked and disgusted.

Comment: I have been bringing my dogs here for a couple of years and always had a great experience. They always look great when I pick them up. I’m always so appreciative when I have called last minute to get them in and they are able to squeeze them in on pre-holiday weekends. Like I had to do today!! Comment: First and last time ill take my dog here. Was quoted 60$ over the phone for my dog to get a bath. When i came back to pick her up they charged me $84 and told me next time it would be an additional 40$ handling charge on top of that because she was anxious and it took two people. Shes 30 pounds and has never had problems anywhere else ive taken her. Would not recommend.

Comment: DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!! I wanted to give this place a second shot since I lived so close to this location. The first time I picked my dog up, her hair cut was completely asymmetrical and my dog was shivering, unknown exactly the reason for this - my assumption is that it is because of poor handling.The second time was when the true character of this place really came out. When I picked my dog up, she was completely shaven was not able to even walk without pain. They shaved my dog without asking, their logic was that since her hair was tangled they decided the next best option was to shave my dog completely. I found it ridiculous that this is the conclusion this company decided to take without consent.After this, I talked to the owner to see how I can comfort my dog. He not only was extremely rude, his solution to this was that I MUST bring in my dog every week to get this issue resolved. A completely financially driver decision. Its been 3 days and my dog still cant walk comfortably. PLEASE SAVE YOUR DOG, do not come here at any cost.

They are simply there for your money, no customer service, and no care for your pets. Save your money, time, and, more importantly, your pet from this place.The owner/staff (the gentleman with gray hair) is rude and as if he hates being there. After spending $115 + 20% tip, I got my dog nearly six hours later with unfinished cut (the worse he has ever had) and smelly. He was kept in the shop all this time, so he was drinking water for 10 minutes when we got home. We sent an email to let them know about our experience. We received a call as if we are a burden to the business (sounded like the same gentleman mentioned earlier) - bring him back see what we can do! - with that attitude we will take my business else where. Feedback to the owner:1- Improve your customer service (proper and professional cut) and attitude, dont be rude. If you are doing this for money, you are in the wrong business. Pet owners love their pets.2- Dont keep pets for 5 hours in a small place when you tell the owner to come back in a couple of hours3- Please make sure to give water to the pets when they are there for 5 hours or moreUpdate (12/17/2021)We appreciate the call back to bring our dog back; however, we decided not to put our dog through another stressful experience (held for 5 hours without water). Comment: Scam reviews stay away!! I brought my teddy bear maltipoo to be groomed and they just shaved her whole body without asking me or calling me. When i got there to pick her up I had been told that she was KNOTTED all over her coat and I had felt her hair prior to bringing her and she had brush able knots. They find it easier to shave dogs than to brush them nicely.

Comment: We recently rescued our dog and thought it would be a good idea to get him groomed and cleaned up a bit. This place is awesome. He was so happy and excited when we came to pick him up, and I was told he was well behaved for it all. He looks so good! He is trimmed where he needed it, and his fur is so soft and silky thanks to the oatmeal wash and blowout. Nails clipped and paw fur trimmed. My wife, myself, and our pup are very happy with PJ Noah!

Comment: Edited review from 3/5 stars to 5/5.My second visit to PJ Noahs because someone called me in to make my pups haircut right after I wrote my review down below. Miriam knew right away who I was when I walked in. They took Zuma into the back for 10 min and cleaned up the missed patches. We will come back because they were understanding and so nice.This visit to PJ Noah was our first. Miriam and her team took me in last minute.Overall it was a good experience. I requested that my terrier, Zuma, be shaved down. But they gave us a puppy cut instead. Zumas haircut was ok, there were some spots on her belly that were definitely missed, her paws and ears were also uneven. I feel like they definitely could have done a little better and spent a little more time. My dog was happy and for the most part pretty groomed. It just seemed really rushed. See pictures.

Comment: PJ Noah was able to accommodate our schedule and do a full groom on our miniature schnauzer on a Saturday. They absolutely showered our little girl with care and love. Usually Lola hates groomers and runs for the door; not this time. I was specific in what I wanted and they accomplished every request. My Lola was clean, trimmed and groomed perfectly. I have never returned to the same groomer a second time and I have finally found the only place where I will return.

Comment: I have a teacup Shih Tzu named Triton. It takes a lot to groom him so the fact I could take him there weekly (VIP) with reasonable cost is extremely helpful. Comment: The quality of the work is superior. However, the store manager / owner has a really bad temperand verbally & physically accosted one of the groomers when I picked up my dog. This man hasno patience and his attitude has changed almost 180 degrees since the store opened. For him to exhibit this type of behavior in front of a customer is unforgivable. I was mortified and felt sorry for the groomer so I chose not to say anything at the time for fear of retribution against the groomer. The corporate offices for John Paul PetSalon need to go undercover and see this behavior for themselves and correct this situation. My guess is that most customers are female and this type of behavior might be intimidating and offensive. This needs to be corrected ASAP.

Comment: It has been 2 years since Princess Portia our Yorkie has been going to JPPS. Their customer service is amazing and this is the only place our Yorkie has ever been groomed. She knows when we are going there and when we get there she is so excited to see her friends and they always welcome her with open arms. Miriam has been my absolute saving grace since my twins have been born. She meets me at the curb for drop off and pick up so I dont have to take the babies out of the car. Tonight was another example of how above and beyond they go. I called to make an appointment for tomorrow, not realizing until after I got the voicemail that it was after hours and within moments the owner called me and left a message confirming that they will always make time for Portia. I wish more places practiced this kind of customer service. Thank you for always taking care of our first born. We love all of you at JPPS.

Comment: I went for my 6th or 7th visit today. The cleanest groomer I have seen by far. These guys have a bar like seating area where you can watch your dog get washed and groomed. great staff, state of art equipment and did I say clean? I highly recommend it and BTW, prices are comparable to normal groomers but they use John Paul shampoo and conditioner and the other thing I liked about them is that they take walk ins. Staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable.

Comment: These guys are for real, beautiful and affordable. I got stunned by ambience and kind stylist girls who were so expert and nice to my pooch. I was most amazed when my little Shih Tzu cost me only $65 for bath, groom and lots of other stuff... thumbs up, Ill definitely be back.
