Comment: We are very pleased with the work PermaGreen completed here at our home. This was a big job: A full property drainage system, extensive grading, irrigation system, and pavers all around. Kaster’s motto is “where you see a problem ~ I see solutions.” Under his direction his crew did a fabulous job, making the work look easy. They were on time, clean, courteous, and respectful. Comment: Kaster and his guys did a great job! Unfortunately our next door neighbor Mr. Vadnais didn’t have the same opinion and I’m here to defend Kaster and Permagreen. I’m a self employed contractor as well and cannot believe Mr. Vadnais would purposefully hurt Kaster’s business.Kaster gave us a great deal on replacing the original ugly, short, bailing wire repaired demising fence in the existing location between my and Mr. Vadnais’ properties. Mr. Vadnais got for free, nor was he ever asked to pay for, a fence that had needed to be replaced for over 20 years. Mr. Vadnais did have a SMALL amount of dirt on his side that was MY responsibility to remove, as Mr. Vadnais and I discussed but his hostility made doing so a tall order.In closing, whatever issues Mr. Vadnais had with the fence was between Mr. Vadnais and I, not Kaster or Permagreen.Kaster did a great job!

Comment: No respect for Neighbors property! They put up a fence for the property next to me and left piles of dirt from post holes dug. They poured the majority of the concrete for these post holes on my property. They knew before hand that I will be putting a retaining wall on my side of the property line as well as a fence. This contractor was arrogant and condescending about this matter and knew perfectly well of my plans as he even provided an estimate to do my project. As always with contractors check their license and possession of proof of Workers Compensation Insurance for their workers, unless you have a premium home owners insurance policy, which most people cannot afford.

Comment: I really loved working with PermaGreen. They are the best landscaping company I think Ive ever used. We had them install pavers, a retaining wall, and artificial grass. They were able to come out and get started right away and got the whole thing finished very quickly. Im so happy that I chose to work with them. I will definitely be using their services again in the future. I definitely received a 5 star experience.

Comment: Kaster was a nice man. Who seemed to help quite a bit at first. He did do everything he said he would. But when his employees accidentally cut the cables to the landscaping lights, he didn’t put any effort to find the issue. I had to use another company.He also recommended planting during a drought instead of telling us to wait. In addition, he planted some plants that died within a couple of weeks of planting.Nice guy but I would not use them again.

Comment: After spending several weeks gathering quotes for a full backyard scrape and remodel, I found Kaster. His quote was very competitive, and he communicated very well throughout the entire project. The backyard of the house we bought needed a full demo, grade, sprinkler repair/redo, turf, and plants. As different opportunities arose to alter the design for the better to add more green space or creative ways to run water more efficiently, he called so we can talk them through to make our yard all that it could be. He stuck to a schedule and nailed the finish date!With any large scale project (at least large scale for me) the small issues we have had, mostly sprinkler programming, he has been available to help trouble shoot to the point where everything is working great!Thanks to Kaster, the yard of vines and wood chip mounds is now a grassy yard with a BBQ and fire pit that my family can enjoy year-round.We will 100% be using Permagreen for our front yard remodel in the near future

Comment: I seriously cannot stop looking at my backyard. It juts looks so good! When we started using PermaGreen everything was uneven and overgrown. The previous owners just did not take care of it at all. Thankfully PermaGreen was able to give my yard a complete makeover. Everything looks so beautiful. Their team is so professional and they made some great suggestions for things that I never would have thought of but really made the space look fantastic. These guys are so hard working. I will definitely keep using their services.

Comment: Putting a home back together from the Woolsie Fires inside and out is quite the challenge. When it finally got to the landscaping Permagreen was one of the recommendations. After interviewing a few companies, I felt Permagreen was the right choice For me. He listened, understood the look I was going for...organic, contemporary, eco friendly with low maintenance. Permagreen even took me to an organic soil and stone farm so I could see options. The results are amazing. Can not count the compliments I have received. You can be confident with Permagreen.

After half an hour of waiting we called to inquire about his whereabouts and he apologized for forgetting, then asked if he could still come by. We declined due to his apparent lack of professionalism. Not the right first impression, at all.

Comment: Kaster was great and made the process of converting our front yard from a weedscape to a zeroscape super easy. He gave very realistic expectations of timing and was very responsive to questions. I would give 5-Stars but due to under calculation of needed materials, we ended up paying more than originally anticipated. It was worth it though and were very pleased with the outcome. He and his workers did an outstanding job, highly recommend.

Comment: Mr. kaster choi just completed my front yard (2/18). He gave me an estimate to finish the job. I paid the amount he asked. After he left, a few days later I noticed the grass is turning yellow, including the weeds he left behind. So, I called him to fix the sprinklers which were included in our contract. When he came, his body language was extremely surprising. When I asked him what is wrong, he starts yelling, and being rude. This was quite surprising interaction compared with the day of our contract, who presented self as a very polite man, and expressing the extra quality job of his family business since 1985!. He left completely undo a small part of the yard due to less traffic; and a large part of the yard was left without lining under the gravels. So, I called him again!! He asked for $75.00 extra cost (in addition to $5500.00 of the contract). He also was requesting this amount should be paid, before his unknown schedule to redo the job that he was already got paid!!I just received this email from him:Okay,You asked for it.Any free material and labor you received.Will probably (changed to promptly) be removed.Best regardsKaster ChoiI wonder the first reviewer is K.Choi also!! Are they related??!! or the same person??!!

Comment: Kaster and his team are fantastic. We converted our grass yard to a native plant and active area. Kaster was instrumental in the concept and the design. He was incredibly patient with us all along the way. BTW, we have never landscaped a yard before. Kaster worked us through hardscape and plant design for 2-3 sessions prior to beginning work. During the execution of the hardscape, we went through plant selection. Throughout the entire process, Kaster diligently listened to our dream yard, and impressively, he was able to manage our vision into an outdoor entertainment area that connects with nature.

Comment: I live in Simi Valley and Ive used Permagreen for over 5 years. They are always on time and always do what needs to be done without me having to tell them to do it. They will prune the plants when they need to be to insure proper growth and they will fertilize my yard when its the right time. They keep my yard and house nice and tidy. Thank you Permagreen
