Comment: ** updated to add that after visiting several times I need to drop my 5 star to a 1 star. Two weeks after our last mani/pedi, my mom now has a terrible nail fungus. She went to privately talk to the management, not asking for a refund or anything, she just wanted them to be aware of it and management told her she got it because water got under nail. She has natural nails not acrylic… how are you going to get water under your natural nail?? This happened because they used unclean instruments. How sad that they don’t take responsibility for it. We won’t be back****I love the Volcano Pedicure here. They do a great job. It’s clean, friendly and welcoming.

Comment: I wish I had seen the reviews before visiting this place. All I wanted was to get my old acrylic nails professionally removed. My regular nail place had availability for later in the day so I googled for nail places closer to my home. I found Focus nails and when I called them up they were ready to take walk ins and said theyll charge $10 ( which is same as what my regular place charges) so I decided to give it a try.Once I walked in they took me in immediately. I noticed they have other services like threading, facial etc. Since this place is literally 5 min from my home.... I got super excited about the prospect of finding a new place so close. From here, everything went downhill. Kim worked on my nails, covered them with foil and left. I know I am supposed to wait and let my nails soak in. But when she did not return after waiting for a long time, I turned my back and found her servicing other person so I had to check in with her how much longer do I need wait. She came after 10 min, removed the acrylic nails, put the oil and asked me to wash my hands. I noticed I still had acrylic on 4 of my nails.When I complained I was told thats how it is (remember this is not my first time getting acrylics nails done or removed so I know how its supposed to look) when I insisted she got another lady to finish the job. After an hour of service I was left with 2 nails with acrylic still stuck on them, and very rough nails. They charged me $15 instead of $10 and when I asked for explanation I was told it was due to long nails. Nowhere in the process I was told about this additional charge. I was so tired that I paid and left.Not only the service was unsatisfactory I also found them dishonest. Its not the matter of additional $5 as I wouldve given that amount as a tip anyways. I think its dishonest when you are told one price and charged something different all together. Never going back again.

Comment: Last week I attended this location for the first time. Normally, I like to do stuff myself and save money, but my time is valuable and it is a struggle to do my nails myself. In this location, the ladies did a great job. My nails are usually breaking especially if I’m stressed out. The nail paint added an extra layer of protection. No problems so far, I’m surprise. I think next time I’ll try both the manicure and pedicure. That should be relaxing.

Comment: The ladies were nice but the the service was sub par. I paid 70 dollars to get my legs waxed and theres still patches of hair all over my legs, 30 dollars for an alright pedicure.I wouldnt come back and Im going to try for a refund on my wax before I submit a dispute with Amex.

Comment: On 20th Feb 2023 I went to this place to get my pedicure done.The person who did my pedicure did a terrible job and barely did any massage. As I was not happy with the results I expressed that was something was different and my feet were not better than when I came in. There was this person Kim not sure if that is her real name kind of slim and not a young person who raised her voice and told me that if I was not happy I don’t need come back and go to another place.I told her that there was no need to be disrespectful and that I will report her to the owners. I don’t know who to contact but the person who did the pedicure was inefficient in doing her job and the person backing her up and very unprofessional and rude.I will never go back to this place.Hope the owners speak to these people and train them.They were speaking in Vietnamese and laughing as I was leaving.

Comment: I’ve gone here about 8 years.Always had been so happy with the quality of my manicure and pedicure EXCEPT for today.Pedicure no cuticle remover and cuticles still remained but my manicure was the worst. My nails were trimmed but jagged on the edges. Cuticles still there not removed and dried out. Polish was bubbled and dots of cuticles in the polish. I was charged $28 for manicure and $28 for pedicure. I always tip 20 percent but Kim was not there today otherwise would have spoken to her directly. Considering going going somewhere else. The girl who did my pedicure put my sandals in front of me and told me to put them on myself when I left.

Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated and great service is infrequent, especially if there are other customers waiting-revenue seems to be the main objective.My last 3 visits have been the worse! I returned for what is now my LAST visit for a redo and received a quick shabby polish job. At home I used my magnifying glass to verify the horrible job and had to clip additional dead cuticle skin and I also noticed unpainted areas in the corners of my toes and polish that overlapped onto my toe skin.Moving on to find a salon that appreciates their customers and provides exceptional service!!!

Comment: I wish I could give more than 3 stars, however I left feeling very unsatisfied even after asking multiple times for issues to be addressed.- Clipped a giant chunk of skin off the side of one of my fingers during the manicure.- Sloppy painting on nails, where you could see the layers of paint, first layer full coverage, second layer only half the nail.-Rounded most of my finger nails after I specifically asked for square.-Toe Nails werent even filed and my big toe was left with a jagged edge that even got caught on the towel. Asked for it to be filed, she did a swipe and told me good? This repeated 3 times. No change or fix.-Toe nail paint was barely covering most of my nails and on my skin.The pricing seems reasonable and on par with other establishments. But I left feeling like I wasted $50.I would post pictures but honestly I am embarrassed and my one finger that was clipped is infected making for an even more unappealing appearance.

Comment: Ive had my nails done at this site for the past year. The salon is simple and clean (no frills). The manager, Kim, runs a tight ship. My two favorites are MiMi and Cathy. Both have excellent attention to detail for both mani & pedis. Good salon!
