Comment: I was in a hip hop class Ceech teaches at Cabrillo College. This class was such an amazing experience! Ceech encourages an open and fun learning environment, and was so helpful in breaking down complex hip hop moves into easier ones for beginners like me to learn. It felt like we started we started from the basics and before I knew it, I was doing all these dance routines I never thought I could do! One thing I noticed in this class was how many people had came back to take the class for a second or third time. I think that really shows the impact Ceech has on Cabrillo College, he is the GOAT!! Thank you Ceech for being such a great dance instructor:)

Comment: Ceech is an incredible hip-hop teacher that has proven to be encouraging, talented, patient, organized and driven. He teaches at multiple different locations such as The Get Down studio in San Jose and a separate college in San Jose. He teaches at Cabrillo in Aptos, Gilroy as well and Santa Claras Mission College. Hes experienced in breaking down dance moves to beginners but also knows how to teach intermediate to advanced techniques. He teaches different styles in hip-hop such as popping, locking, and more. Smart guy, and a very caring teacher. Hes trained with some of the best dancers in hip-hop. Highly recommend this guy if you wanna learn how to dance, or want to gain some more knowledge on how to improve.

Comment: I was first introduced to Ceech at a dress rehearsal for a dance show at West Valley College in 2017. He was introduced to me as the Mission College’s hip-hop instructor as well as someone affiliated with The Get Down Studio in San Jose’s Japantown. During this brief exchange I sensed this guy gave off this charismatic energy, like I have never seen before. I have since taken his class at least four times and I have found that Ceech is a phenomenal dance instructor, he is the real deal, passionate, professional and knows his stuff. He breaks down breaks down dance steps in a way that even the most basic beginner can understand and build a solid foundation. Emphasizes process over product. He tries to learn all his students names and learn interesting things about them. He is friendly, welcoming, patient, encouraging and beginner friendly. He greets each individual student at the beginning of each class meeting every class meeting. I would totally recommend his class to anyone looking to learn hip-hop or just wanting to discover their creative side.

Comment: Ive always loved watching hip hop and wanted to try it for a long time. But Im an older person and believed my body couldnt move that way. After just a few classes with Ceech, the myth was busted! The video shows a small taste of what I learned as a beginner after about five classes. Im the 40+year-old in the back, dancing with a teenager friend in the front! 🎉🎉Ceech is an amazing teacher! He breaks down the moves and is clear, so nearly anyone can pick it up quickly. Hes so friendly and encouraging, its a joy to be in in his class. If you have a chance to take class with Ceech, DO IT. If youre an organization who wants to host a class, have Ceech come teach. Youll be glad you did!

Comment: Ceech help us with with our annual Chinese New Year dance performance at the Silicon Valley Hakka Association. Some of us dont have much dance experience and he taught a dance routine that was the right difficulty level for us. We had a fun time learning from Ceech. We would definitely recommend him as a dance instructor and choreographer.

Comment: Ceech is an incredible dance instructor and person. He has a special ability to make everyone feel welcome, included, and empowered the minute you enter his studio. He walks around to greet everyone individually in his classes every class. I was nervous to join my first dance class ever as an adult but Ceechs warmth and ability to break down dance steps and routines helped build my confidence! I was surprised with how much I was able to learn and retain and I attribute it all to Ceech! Its no wonder so many people return to take his classes. Comment: I have taken multiple hip hop dance class around and Ceech is the best in the Bay area. His dance classes can covers everything from the fundamentals of dance and basic hip hop moves to advanced topics like choreography. Ceech is able to teach dance to students of all ages from teenagers, college students to retirees. Beyond just the actual dance moves, he teaches the history of hip hop and important life lessons like commitment and responsibility, importance of repetition and practice, what it means to truly learn something.

Comment: I started learning dance with Ceech with very little dance experience. Ive taken a few dance classes elsewhere but with Ceech, the learning experience has been more rewarding. He focuses on making your foundational skills more solid. For a beginner, its easy to rush to look cool but with Ceech, a lot of patience is involved from him into making a move really solid. This is exactly what Im looking for from my dance coach -grounding the basic moves really well.In helping his students get to a move, I appreciate the progressive approach he takes into getting to the final move. Not only does Ceech break it down into smaller and easier steps, he also improvises progressive steps that starts from the easier moves that leads to the more complicated moves and eventually to the move were trying to nail down. He does this based on what he observes real time about your situation and your current dance skills so I actually end up learning the move faster than if I were to just practice the harder move 10,000 times.I also appreciate Ceechs knowledge in dance in general. I also share my experience from my other dance classes with him and sometimes we talk about moves from my other classes as well. You can also learn a lot about the history of hip hop from him, for those who are interested.So far, Ive had about 6-7 lessons with Ceech but I do see myself learning from him long term. Highly recommend Ceech to anyone whos looking to get serious about hip hop.
