It’s one of the only schools in the area that has flexible scheduling and is affordable. Located in downtown San Jose next to a lot of places to eat and Oak Ridge mall. Great hands on school where you learn everything not just a hair focused school. Everyone is super nice like Ms Keisha and Ni. and their new location is super clean and modern. The staff is so professional and very accommodating towards customers and students.Every morning, we would have theory for half a day, followed by hands-on instruction for the rest of the day. We had study groups every day during breaks, and sometimes study groups were organized by classmates at each other’s houses. My expectation here is something I will hold onto for a lifetime.

The instructor was very knowledgeable and patient, and the content was well-organized and easy to follow. I would recommend this because I had a great time taking this course. It was a lot of fun and I learned so much. I liked that the class was small, so we could get a lot of individual attention. Vannghi and Devin were great at explaining everything and answering our questions. We even got to try out all the different products and tools used in a manicure. I learned about different types of manicures, how to do a manicure step-by-step, and even some advanced techniques.

Comment: Cosmotek is a great school for the everyday working person since their schedule is extremely flexible. I personally did the 400 hour manicure program and it went by super quick. Of the 400 hours, 200 are online, and the other 200 are in class which makes it easy to study from home and be hands on in class. The best part is that in class everything is hands on so you’re learning something new everything with the kit that is given to you. Overall it was an easy process and I enjoyed attending this school.

Comment: I’m a barber and I just finished the 1000 hours here at COSMOTEK COLLEGE. Before I came here I was looking at other schools as well, and this one when I called they were very friendly and welcoming as they were in person. When I went there the instructors answered all my questions, and were very patient. So I enrolled in school. It is the most flexible school especially for someone that is working full-time you get to make your own schedule and go the days you want. It also has hybrid classes. Which are online classes. The environment is great. All the instructors are very good. The barber instructors that are in there are very skilled. I learned a lot of things and different techniques that are going to be useful in the future. Comment: Unfortunately, my experience were not like other reviews after reading the reviews I was super excited to start school. I drove over an hour just to be rushed on my tour. Damian was my tour guide and I did not enjoy my experience. He showed me through the school so fast and was talking so fast I had to ask him to slow down at least 3 times. I asked him for a print out of the school schedule so I could have something to reference to take him. He said I could just take a photo. Very unprofessional. I didnt understand what he was saying and I dont feel like he cared to be resourceful. He seemed to be annoyed when I asked him to slow down. To me that was a red flag. If Im being rushed during tour, I felt like I could be rushed while trying to learn. I did not feel like I could benefit from this school based on that. To make it worse the school doesnt have structure they basically leave the learning up to you. And the school looked like a warehouse. Compared to other schools I just wasnt impressed. I would not suggest going here.

Comment: Went to Cosmotek College today as part of a veterans event, and got a haircut and my brows tinted. I really like the place and the haircut was awesome. Im pretty fussy about my cuts but they did great. The prices are definitely lower than salons! I had never had anything done through a cosmetology school, but they have instructors and students working together and theyre really quite good. I never had my brows tinted before so we had a lot of fun doing different colors (theyll look like theyre dyed in the pic, but when I got home I wiped off most of the dye on my skin with just an epielle wipe). Theyre extremely professional and very nice too. Id go back again!

This was fantastic because the more information I had, the easier it was to work. Servicing the clients is what I like best. Comment: Appreciated the communication by text message to check if I could come in to do a gel polish change.Naseem did my manicure and Nghi was always checking in and assisting if needed. I didn’t really know what color I wanted and saw Naseem’s nails and really liked them. They didn’t have the exact color but they got it close. And she even took photos with me of our matching nails.They don’t do the soaking for the cuticles. You wash hands in the sink and then it’s a dry manicure. She cleaned my cuticles with a tool. Which is WAY better since I have sensitive cuticles and always get cut. So no anxiety or bloody cuticles here. They were both really patient with my wanting a certain look. Would for sure come back again.Note: make sure you don’t have anywhere to be. I was there for 2 hours. But it went by fast and I’m very happy with the attention to detail.

For example:1. I can bring my friends/family to Cosmotek to pratice under supervision of Cosmotek instructor.2. In the 3rd week at Cosmotek, I can confidently work on the clients. Sometimes, I have 6 clients of a day. (with tips). Cosmotek has a lot of clients (REAL CLIENTS), especially at weekend. So, there is no place you can practice without license like Cosmotek!3. Beside doing actual procedures in class. You can bring your own questions or subject to ask, and instructor will assist/support your learning needs.4. Cosmotek is open 7 days/week, 9am - 9pm. I have a weekday job, so the time is very flexible to me to finish the program quickly.5. Instructors can speak multiple languages beside English such as Spanish and Vietnamese. She let me choose my own schedule so i can save on babysitter’s fee because my husband is the only person working. All the teachers are so patient. Everyone here is always smiling and its contagious. Comment: Came in to register my daughter whom just graduated from high school for cosmetology class and the owner Cynthia helped us and was very informative. She gave us a tour of the facility and introduced us to the instructors. They have multiple rooms and stations for training and treatment. This school is very organized and all the instructors sounds very knowledgeable.Today has been a month since my daughter has been taking classes there and she comes home everyday excited and can’t wait to go back the next day. She said the instructor never left her behind, if she needed help they were there to help and answer any and all of her questions. What a great find - very happy we chose this Beauty College.
