Comment: I signed up for the two hour create and destroy pottery wheel class. My instructor Sofia was amazing! She answered all of my questions and showed me step-by-step instructions for making my pieces. I can tell that she really enjoys what she does and loves to share her passion with others. This was my first time doing pottery and I’m itching to do more! Thanks to the Colibri Pottery Studio for this awesome experience.

Comment: Overall pottery making class was fun. Instructor was super patient and would around the table to make sure everyone was doing ok however, once I came back to pick up my pieces. The pieces were half glazed and looked so ugly. If I would have known I would have gone to Higher Fire. Friends have been there and recommended we go there next time

Comment: I took my daughter for a hand building session, to celebrate her turning 6! She absolutely enjoyed it and made a beautiful tea-set. The instructor was very kind, patient and allowed my daughter to work at her pace and capacity. I only take one star off because when I went to collect the articles, I found that the tiny tea pot she made was not glazed properly. I asked the staff if it could be re-done. They said they could, and I waited and went back 2 more times to collect it but they seem to have misplaced it.

Comment: I had a great time at the 2 hour beginner class. Its a great time except for those who hurt their arms, sorry mom. I am definitely coming back for more classes to get more in depth. Be warned, you do need arm strength to play with the clay! Overall, it is as suggested, wonderful relaxing time with a bit of smacking clay to get some pent up stress out!!

Comment: I took the beginner 2 hour wheel throwing class. My instructor was Skylar and she was amazing!! I was lucky and had a small class so I got more attention than say a bigger course but she’s a great instructor and super patient. Helped whenever I asked but also gave me space if I needed it. I had so much fun I decided to sign up for the six week course to better my skills. For the beginning class I was able to make two bowls (see the pic!)I’ve always wanted to do pottery and I’m glad I did it with this business. Price was cheapest in the area and it was just really fun and worth it.

Comment: Collibri Pottery Studio provided a wonderful experience for our wedding anniversary date. The instructors were friendly and thorough in teaching us pottery making. We opted for the on-the-wheel pottery experience, which proved to be calming and enjoyable. Within the two-hour session, including the initial half-hour explanation by the instructor, we each crafted two pots. We would have loved more time to indulge in the creative process. Overall, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend it for a unique and memorable date.

Comment: The vibes during the glazing session was very chill the workers were also amazing talking to us and helping us make sure we had what we needed whenever we asked!!However getting my piece back was beyond disappointing. There were shards of broken ceramics in my plate. Having to pay so much for both the session and the plate I was saddened by the firing process that followed. I have been to multiple other ceramic painting locations and this was the only one with this issue.

Comment: I just finished the 6 week class with Skylar and I loved every single aspect of the class, the group, the studio and all the vibes!! Skylar has a lot of experience and I love how excited she is to show techniques and teach a very diverse group of students. If we raised questions on different methods, Skylar gave us a lot of support and insight on learning them or understanding the pros and cons of them! She taught me so much and also helped when I was struggling through some of my pieces! I loved her happy and fun personality which made conversations in class even more engaging. The class overall was set up well, tools and supplies were abundant, the open studio times between classes were amazing for practicing and getting connected with other like-minded artists and I even made some new friends throughout the 6 week period. Now, because I just fell in love with pottery and the studio’s vibe is super chill and friendly, I signed up for the membership!!! I recommend people trying out the class so you can get an understanding of all the beginner tips of pottery and find a place you can feel connected to!

Very engaging person and obviously enjoyed working with clay and us :-) . We were able to make small pots which I really didnt think would be possible since we had no experience. This was the make and destroy class so we destroyed our pots at the end.

Comment: My first-grader took a 2-hour pottery wheel class with Preston Nguyen. The class was engaging, fun, educational, and of course ended with two original pieces that she made. And it cost about the same as when we had previously gone to a chain pottery painting place, but this was so much better. Preston was great at customizing his teaching to the different ages and skill levels in the group. Well definitely go back.

Came on Sunday the place was closed and no one would even answer the phone, Ring door bell, or Messenger messages. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Stay away!Updated:Actually both I and another customer who came all the way from San Francisco received your message to come on that weekend. Naturally, we both thought that a message coming directly from your business will most accurately reflect your open status. If you were able to update your Google/FB as you said, I find it hard to believe that you would not do the same for your very own messaging system that communicates directly with your customer. It is perfectly understandable to take breaks for holiday, but if your message incorrectly asks customer to come to the store then it is your responsibility as business owner to have the message updated so that the customers do not waste their time and gas to make the trip just to find out for themselves that the store is not open. The review was based on the negative experience received, but you made it even worse afterward when you sent me unprofessional private messages, so I will stand by my review.

Comment: Purchased on Groupon for a 2 hour beginner pottery wheel throwing class, and so glad to have tried it! The studio is bright, clean and well organized with ample parking. The instructor Zena patiently taught us to get comfortable around the wheel and connect with the clay in our hands to create our pottery pieces. She is also very attentive, detail oriented, and encouraging us along the way to practice and make our first masterpiece. Her gentle hands worked magic for us, saving some of our pieces so that we each bring our own two pieces of treasured memories home. Absolutely would recommend!

Comment: I found Colibri Pottery Studio on Groupon. I bought pottery coloring for 2 people, made reservations online. The staff was very friendly and nice. They also recommended me to come around 6 PM so Ill enough time to finish coloring/painting because they have to stop everything around 8:30 to clean up.The pottery prices are very reasonable. I got a 16oz cup with a lid for $12. My friend got a vase and a half-off pumpkin lantern (including a light too). It took about 1.5 weeks for our pottery to be ready for pickup.I got a good experience here and would definitely comes back!
