Comment: I really wanted to enjoy taking my daughter to get a manicure and pedicure at Bayside nails. However, we waited over 20 minutes past our appointment time to get started on the pedicures. There was no communication about when our manicures would start and after 45 minutes I let the manager know we no longer have time for a manicure. She offered to just have our nails painted so I’d be done in time. I agreed to have our nails painted and she tried to charge me for a full manicure treatment for myself and my daughter ($50). When I explained I would not pay those charges because I did not get that service she pushed back a few times. They do not validate parking which was $15 for 1.5 hours. I will not be going back because it was rushed and not the experience I expected. Additionally, my cuticle was injured.

Comment: I wanted to enjoy my experience here so bad. It had been some time since I got a full mani-pedi and I needed to treat myself. Bayside nail and spa was suggested by a friend who had a wonderful experience, but they do not usually get gel manicures or pedicures, but they take care of themselves so I trusted them.When my manicure was finished which happened simultaneously as my pedicure, the Manicurist had nicked my finger without saying anything in the moment. It was not until she sprayed alcohol across my fingers that she decided to tell me as I shuttered. There seemed to be a need to rush and I had already obliged them by coming in a half hour earlier than my original appointment time, so I was not pleased with the nature of being rushed through my services. The Pedicurist was equally as rough and nicked me a number of places on my feet, and spoke nothing of it. Because the last few minutes of it was dry it wasn’t until I got in the shower later that day and water hit my toes that I realized I had little cuts all over.Now it’s been less than three days and my gel polish is chipping on both my hands and feet. I got it done because of a wedding I’m attending this week so I am not pleased. Additionally, there was a massage section as one usually occurs with these and I have never wanted someone to just stop touching me so bad. I thought I was very knotted up because I am a performer/dancer by trade so sometimes things can be tender but no, they were not gentle.I am being gracious with a two star rating because for the most part the staff was kind. However the services were not cheap and by no stretch of the word worth the nearly $120 I paid for a Deluxe Manicure Pedicure. Finally, the system to pay did not work with my tap services so I had to pay via Venmo. At that point I paid without argument and left. I would not suggest their services to a single soul.

Comment: These guys are amazing. They were great to work with and accommodate my discomfort with getting a pedicure cuz I’ve never had one before. It worked great to sit next o my wife and her pedicure while relaxing in the massage chair and getting a little pampering. I’d recommend it - weird at first but worth it for sure. It might become a “date night” thing to enjoy.

Comment: The salon was nice but I was beyond upset when I walked out and really took a look at my nails only to see how sloppy they looked. I should have caught it when I was in the salon but unfortunately I didn’t and I can’t believe this was the work that they were willing to sign off on. Majorly disappointed after paying $155 plus tip. Won’t be back and definitely don’t recommend.

Comment: I had the best experience here! I was staying at the hotel next door and called last minute to get an appointment. They got me in within an hour and everyone was so nice! I tend to do dip every 3-4 weeks since 2021 and this was the fastest and the best they have ever looked! They’re not too thick, completely smooth, and the time and effort was really put into them to make them perfectly shaped. I didn’t have any nails on prior to this appointment but I was in and out in roughly 40 minutes. I believe Brina was the name of my tech and she was so friendly and fun! I will definitely be back.

Comment: I was in SD on a work trip and had a bit of time and stopped in last minute for a basic mani/pedi. I didn’t want polish for either service. I hoping for a relaxing pedi and mani and instead what I got was two techs at the same time and they were done within 15 minutes. They had even set a timer. Twice I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to gel and I said no. One of the tech’s cut my cuticle and just kept on working even while I was still bleeding. They also wear latex gloves and didn’t ask if I had an allergy or sensitivity to latex before starting. I pad $84 for a 15 min mani/pedi and when I asked about the cost, I was told polish is free. My nail is cracked after 24 hours and the cuticle is not in good shape.

Comment: I went to this salon to get a no chip French mani. I showed the nail tech what I wanted and she said she could do it. Overall it looked ok when she finished but their were so many inconsistencies. Next day one of the nails already started to peel. I called and explained what happened. They said that it should last ten days. I asked for a refund since I am leaving on a trip and do not have the time to go back and have them fix their mistakes. Overall, I wouldnt go back. The customer service was poor and the quality is obviously not good.

Comment: I’m on vacation here and trying to find a good place for my nail art. This place is just downstairs of my hotel, and it’s 4.5 star, so I decided to check it out. I’m so glad I came here. Ann was super nice and did my nails professionally great! She’s very patient with me selecting colors for the nail art. She’s also really welcoming through the whole experience. The massage in the end is so relaxing and she constantly check with me during the art drawing. I’m so happy with the result!

Comment: Here on vacation and needed my nails done. Just shellac. Great nail service. Not so good massage. My spouse wanted a chair massage thinking it was in a legit message chair. It wasnt, it was in a chair they were sitting it. And it was the worst massage that he had even gotten. I wasnt impressed with how much everything cost.** the second photo is my nails exactly 4 weeks later. Yes there is grow out, buy you wouldnt know unless you really looked. Also I have no lifting from the top of the nails like usual from shellac.

Plus they havent lifted even with heavy manual labor n rough treatment. Blowing the theory that thin nails wont last .They will if Mimi does them . Comment: Id come here again! I needed a quick gel manicure before going to the airport. Sadly, I set a 4:30pm appointment but wasnt sat down until about 4:50pm. The service was poor but the overall gel manicure was good. I also think that $45 is very expensive - especially since the service was below average.
